  1. Does anyone know of any pics of this event?
  2. Decent cold spell with at least 7, little to moderate snowfalls over the last 2 weeks. Hopefully there will be a freeze that will be more wide spread for others to enjoy later this month and into Feb and maybe even March. Something like this, which is from a friend in Norway this morning.
  3. Drizzle this morning leading to a slight thaw, but got a little heavier and now its been snowing for around 30 - 45 mins, alternating between light and moderate mostly with just the odd brief heavier burst. Strange as not much is showing on radar.
  4. If this is the main event then wow, although it may weaken as it comes south, but still... And currently we are all excited by this
  5. Like others have said, it is defo intensifying, the first pic is from 9pm and the other is now.
  6. Think some are starting to get those last minute worries, but i don't see anything to worry about, as temps are heading down again, the ground is already frozen and frosty is many parts, reports of snow falling and settling on NW parts of the region and Dew Points are well below freezing except for NW parts where they are around 1c but snow still falling and settling there as already mentioned, so no need to worry.
  7. Hi and welcome, i think it will be wrong as temperatures are around or below freezing and dew points are well below freezing too, so if its just sleet i will be very surprised.
  8. Yeah, could be onto something but hopefully it don't push too far East either if it happens. Even if not though seems like we are seeing some snow tonight and overnight and into early tomorrow with the main area
  9. As others have said, certainly not a done deal, but i do have a good feeling about this.
  10. Love this area, then going round to Clayhanger, lovely in Winter and Summer.
  11. Sarah did mention something a bit more significant for the Midlands on Friday too on the 10 day forecast.
  12. Friday looking like an upgrade, nice to see more falling and settling snow this morning even if its just a sugar coating so far.
  13. Around 6cm to finish off, now another slow thaw underway, roads and pavements turned slushy and wet. Next interest for possible significance is New Years Eve.
  14. Even the snowman is taking a bow for the good snow events so far lol
  15. Literally 2 minutes away from where you were there mate.
  16. Empire state building sized flakes here Joking aside though, i have never saw flakes that size ever before, wow. While writing this, flakes have gone small again, but that heavy stuff gave about 2cm alone.
  17. Biggest flakes seen yet, 50p size and settling much much easier now.
  18. Light to Moderate snow, the odd heavy bursts mixed in, giving a slight extra dusting.
  19. Straight into snow here too, from nothing to moderate snow in less than a minute.
  20. Skies looking more snowy to the North now, excitement building too , still around 50/60%% snow cover from yesterday.
  21. Seems a little fog is forming here now, snow melting slowly but still most places covered
  22. I agree, we got 20cm 10th December 2017, today got about 4/5cm, i somehow forget that 2017 event lol.
  23. Anyone got a couple charts for tonight's/tomorrow potential?
  24. Oh yeah you're right, how can i forget that one lol, ive corrected it
