Famous last words! Winds picked up again as a squall went through and was very nasty for about 20 minutes. Cue daughter needing a lift. Ironically last time she wanted picking up was Valentine's 2014. Weather on a par with that albeit for a short time. Hoping it will now start to calm down.

We've had a 60mph gust in the last hour and now the rain has arrived. Gusts seem to be lessening

Same here but other places had much stronger winds then which gave it storm status I guess. It's been a wild afternoon with the last hour being particularly noisy. A couple of gusts possibly mid 50s- sustained wind speeds 30+ for last 3/4 hours. Seems to be dying back a little now. Occassional peppery shower, but it's been the wind that's been notable. And more of the same Monday. Oh joy! Edit..just had a 60!

We have the wind inland here! Little rain to speak of as yet. Sustained winds in low 30s gusting into low 50s for couple of hours now. Not particularly warm either 9.5C but feeling much colder in the wind

Looks like it's going to be a day of squally showers(hence the forecasts for 50mph + gusts inland I guess). We've got the Cornish one and one in Wales too

Very dark here...radar tells it al. Winds picking up after a very calm start to the morning. Radar showing a very nice squall line to the west of here. Might make driving on the M4 intereesting!

My daffs are flowering but tomorrow looks specially grim further inland and I fear their heads may be knocked off!. Mild and damp at the moment here.

Official title for weather here...minging. Just walkes best part of a mile due south straight into the wind and rain!! Ugh. T 9.3C 1006mB and falling Wind speed 23 mph gusting into low 40s. I have to go out on the return journey later. I expect I'll get there twice as fast as I got here

This mornings weather is ugh with a touch of yuk. 8.3C Pressure 1011 and fa;;ing Wind speed 21 mph gusting to 33 from the south. All in all a pretty crap day. Really hope some of theose rainfall totalls don't materialise on the moors . We don't need another Boscastle type event ( i know that was a totally different set of weather events)

12 C at 7 am and rising.. had to get up to open the windows. Cloudy, non descript mist and murk. Probably preferable to what's heading our way midweek
