  9. Journey home nearly fine but had tummy bug on arrival at Heathrow which caused me to miss my train at Euston and had to wait 2 hours for the next one. The underground trip from Heathrow was difficult but I was prepared with a plastice bag from Ian, fortunately I managed without using it. The trip north of the train was like a scene from Monty Pythons I shared the table with a drunken bricklayer from Egremont who got drunker the further north we got The carriage was made up of 4 Russian dancers on their way to Blackpool and 30 missionaries from the Church of the Latter Day Saints (Utah). The drunken bricklayer accosted them all. Interesting trip. As Ian said we got upgraded I strangely enough thought is was a sales pitch and turned it down. However we got it anyway. So Steve there we are and I too am getting my head in order for work tomorrow. Hi Ross and Pat it was nice sharing our chase together. Tom

  15. Looking at the next few days I agree that today should be west Texas may be somewhere south west of Childress. Tomorrow might be the same area ending up with the 72oz challenge day for Ian and A Another at the Big Texan. Tuesday we could look at Goodland atm. Tom
  16. Yesterday's sky was one I have seen many time before , flat grey and boring. As you would expect under the cold stable air behind the cold front. However in past chases we would normally be behind the cold front in Nebraska or Wyoming and would only have to drive 100 miles to get back into warmer air in Kansas. To do that we would have had to head off towards the Gulf of Mexico. Friday's chase took some of the new guests into action an hour after getting off the plane. As in previous chases we named the storm and this one was called Grace. Grace did get excitable and misbehaved herself constantly. She was probably one of the most electrically energetic storms I have seen. Constant CGs from all areas of the cell. She was tornado warned and we saw what looked like a brief tornado earlier. The wall cloud was huge and enveloped a town which I think was called Brownville. We did hear later that it did some damage and the townsfolk were required to go to an emergency centre. The cell was dropping 4 inch hail. Once sorted I will get some video uploaded. Tom
  17. You seem to be in with a chance tonight too. May need to think about those windows as we have an early start to get to Dallas. Tom
  18. You should have told him that you are both ambulance drivers , he might have been nicer to you
  19. Hi Steve Naughty pair.. We would never get caught speeding. We is good boys.
  20. I have just resized some photos from today to make things a little easier. We called this supercell Bertha Wooo! I got a lightning shot. That is good for me I have to say.
  21. Today was spectacular . We sat under that cell as it developed. As it exploded into a supercell we were there to watch it and travelled along with it nearly every inch of the way. virtually always in and around the area of rotation. One of todays highlights was resetting the warning message on Baron. As we closed in on the area of rotation the Barons did the warning in the voice of Dogs 32 "Paul is it rotating? Paul I can see rotation. Paul I think it is rotating" I have it on video. It has now been reset but was extremely funny/
  22. We have seen so many fatastic supercells each one has on its own merit been stunning. Todays was once again special beacause we sat under the meso and caught a shot of what has been reported as a tornado. I have to say a tornado is only the icing on the cake. Sorry for delay in posting these but better late. Tom
