  1. If you read my post I was talking about why Spain have named it, theres not a lot of impact for them, and even if you include France the same applies.
  2. Why have the Spanish named this as a storm? It's hardly effecting them at all, maybe a bit of rain thats it.
  3. Yeah I agree, these models seem to be way out, yet people seem to encourage their accuracy over the met office, even the meto app has been spot on. Not even sure where the models are generating their speeds from either as just a quick look at the intensity of the part of the low pressure over the UK could see it wasnt conducive to 70mph winds.
  4. I think its obvious that in many places the models were nowhere near what actually happened last week, same this. The met office have been spot on with their local wind forecasts
  5. Literally nothing here in Hereford again wind wise, obv rain is going to be an issue though. Either this forum gets over excited every time and those gfs models are always way off, or i just live in a sheltered area. Met office has been more modest and correct.
  6. Because in terms of wind its not actuslly going to be that bad, also the fact that with nearly every storm its overhyped by many on here. Not very often a storm lives up to the hype on here.
  7. Theres been many youtube tests in wind tunnels with people standing up just about in 100mph+ winds, cant see people being thrown about by 60mph winds unless you weigh 30kg
  8. Im not sure how location specific the warnings are meant to be, however it would have been a much more accurate warning to go with yellow on the west half of the country and amber on the east, possibly amber on the west coast of wales too.
  9. Saw this near my home in Bransford last year, never got to the bottom of what it was.
  10. Was waiting for that cold front to move through in Hereford before drawing conclusion, but certainly here in Hereford for some reason it wasnt bad at all, wouldnt even give it a yellow warning here.
  11. What would it feel like to be stood in it if its touch ground as in this case? Any increase in wind? Precipitation?
  12. Not particularly wooded there mainly fields.
