yeah thats exactly it, different intensities. however those higher up will always have higher intensity (normally) so it makes sense that northumberland has had a bit more being generally more elevated. a very pretty shower. light winds and quite heavy - orange skys and great lamppost watching
its just started again here, its so weird how the weather changes between you and me being but a mile apart. the ppn is falling apart this may be our last shower for now so make the most of it!
now turned to snow. moderate small/medium flakes. edit: looking out to the north it looks like darkness from the snow, however its stopped/stopping here i can see about 1 mile away its tipping it down
am i the only one see the radar this way - it looks like its getting smaller and fizzling out. i dont see this intensifing people are talking about. it also looks like its largly stalled in the north
ah ok. btw, i cant see that stuff to our north sinking south, it still looks on a se track to me. however, the stuff further out to sea looks like it may hit
hanna bayman? who she?
i'd be happy with a couple more inches. I just been outside i'd say there were about 5 inches fallen from this current snow session.
snow shower starting up again!
no, and i'm glad - i was walking home! blizzards are awfull, i'd much prefer to see steady falling snow than sideways snow. looks like its clouding over again in newcastle. what does the radar say folks? raintoday is down for me, neone else?
its stopped here now, but that finger of ppn stretches a few hundred miles. i think as it hits land it will fizzle like others have been doing so. I just keep my fingers crossed for it to hit newcastle as whilst we have had a decent snowfall now (about three inches) only 10 miles out there has been 18inches. I'd be happy with 6inches!
come on snow gods, deliver the goods purrrleasse!
EDIT: north northumberland looks like its going to get at least 6-10inches from this.
So people think this isn't just going to batter northumberland? radar movements make it look so but hope i am wrng. Luckily i am going out on sunday to northumberland to play in the snow like a 10 year old.
i am suprised to see a very narrow band of precipitation which hasnt missed newcastle. Extreamly small hail/snow at the moment, it almonst looks fake. Quite heavy, given all surface a fresh whitenes. note sure how lon it will last.
oh wow, that to the north looks amazing. everything seems to have curved around newcastle this cold spell. however there does seem to be some fresh snow outside.
am i looking somwhere wrong, to me it looks like its breaking up a bit. edit: oh i see, you mean about 400 miles NE. the only problem with that is it is about 4-6 hours away and anything could happen
