  1. sorry to here it, i think it should pass soon. i know it doesnt help but its nearly -2 here, so just goes to show the micro climates going on.
  2. yep lol. the south gets snow = top headline stuff. just seen the northeast weather forecast and they have snow showers shown for the next few days for the NE. We must be able to get som half decent accumlications if that happens
  3. actually, i am the one whos normally got a higher temp! its now reading -1.3oC here in south goosforth. looking out the window it looks frozen still. what is everyone else readin?
  4. ah ok... this shows the two bands look like they are getting closer to each otheer. do you think they could join in the middle or is that not technically possible? temp dropped back to -0.7oC here.
  5. are you refering to the showers to the north east of sctoland?
  6. there have been reports of thunder and someone reported lightning, not sure where. not sure about washington, but there is thunder and lightning about so it wouldnt suprise me
  7. my thoughts exactly. could be quite exciting! suprised at 2.8oC at the coast! temp has risen here also, now -0.3oC.
  8. my temp is still showing -0.5oC for those in newcastle with rising temps. snow pretty much stopped now. added another CM. EDIT: does it look like the stuff from the north and the stuff to the east are going to meet in the middle to anyone else?
  9. anyone else in newcastle just here thunder or am imagining things? actually think its just a plane LOL
  10. shower here, getting blown in the wind. not sure any of it has touched the ground lol.
  11. you are going to get a hammering soon, you lucky lucky errm thing
  12. goign by that it looks good for all, in terms of the stuff to our east afecting the southern half of region and the stuf north coming down to all?
  13. thats good to know, i was wondering if they were heading south!
  14. what are your feelings on those showers coming to us rather than york moors?
  15. the latest shows it moving south like it may miss us! this really does make for frustrating viewing!
  16. I have also... TWS mentioned that we we have had a flow of showers from the NE, but as they have hit land they have been taken away with a northerly flow... Makes sense having watched every radar picture output today! Now the flow has switched to a more easterly direction, we should start to see the showers push more in land and not fizzle out as much. There are some nice echos out to sea which would give a great covering if they happened you're right, it does look like a good two hour gap before the posibility of the next shower!
  17. to be honest, it start as fine hail, turned to snow, then back to fine hail again. there are some beefy showers out to sea. why o why won't they come and sprinkle 6inches of snow over us?
  18. dont give up hope yet, I was always under the impression the most showers would happen through this evening. Still many out to sea, so keep watching the radar. Must of had about 1cm from the last shower.
  19. very fine hail here after the snow shower. It looks like rain its so fine!
  20. ah fair enough. Speak of the devil, a heavy snow shower has arrived at last!
  21. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/radar/index.html the 16:30 radar is a joke. All the shower activity has just gone! ah pants. Hi TWS, glad you made it down south OK, its a shame you won't be around so much as your input was greatly appreciated. Do you understand why the showers out to sea keep disapering?
