  1. Light dusting from the past hour on cars and roofs, isn't even forecasted to start for another ten minutes.. I feel like I'm going to be in a hot spot for a cm or two
  2. temperatures dropping back down to 1.2c, windchill also getting slightly worse feeling pretty bitter out there, dewpoint -1.8c.. with the temp and dewpoint any precipitation to come through now is definitely not going to be just a spot of drizzle like further south edit: just got the back edge of one of the heavier of the showers heading through and theres some 0.5cm small flakes amongst the nearly invisible bits.. hopefully this is just a taster of whats forecast from 8pm later
  3. (I'm from the SE chat just visiting to see how the weather is over in the midlands) I noticed the showers pepping up in the wash.. i can see them outside my window over the sea missing me by only several miles
  4. Guys don't get annoyed yet, it's Day 1 and as we've seen it has been pretty hard to pinpoint what's going to happen and where, so the forecast will constantly change and get tweaked until last minute. Like i said earlier, be prepared for disappointment but at the same time don't get sad yet because anything could happen(within reason)! I will only allow ya'll to get annoyed at this easterly at the end of Saturday when everyones main risk of snow is over with
  5. Don't give up on this cold spell yet, we might just see a few wintery surprises are in store for us in the next couple days..
  6. its not heavy i can assure you, most of the morning it was just a few odd flakes floating around in the breeze. From the radar though, its all of a sudden not picking up the precipitation in the sea around me so im just watching out the window.. they do look like from further north that they are pepping up a bit though..
  7. im on the coast of the north sea and we've had actual snow this morning not even just snizzle
  8. We had a 10% risk of snow this morning and managed to pull a dusting off so im pretty happy with that, so i won't be majorly dissapointed, but i definitely don't expect the forecast to show this much snow in a few hours. i really hope so, I've just about forgotten what a cold winter is like now.. I wasn't even in the country for 2010
  9. My hope is just for the next few days to come off like its being forecast now: if it does come off with snow flurries on and off all day for over 48 hours it will definitely be the best winter weather here since early 2013.
  10. Thought i would share this with you all.. Tonight: Tomorrow: Saturday: Sunday: Most definitely will downgrade now i've noticed but I would definitely take snow flurries for two days.. something like this would most definitely give me at least a dusting..
  11. I'm not sure what to expect at this point, some people are telling me its going to stay with maxima of 2-5c and some are saying 10-14c!
  12. that means the radar isn't showing it all like i thought, i was wondering why i could see flakes with nothing on the radar!
  13. I woke up to a dusting already this morning Feel like so far I've had just about the best out of this in the region.. occasional flake keeps appearing outside, but nothing special to be honest. Hoping maybe tomorrow will produce more for everyone and laugh at everyone complaining about just snizzle!
  14. Any snow here is going to be marginal with the dp's expected, I don't think anyone should expect to wake up to a covering, just hope to be pleasantly surprised For me I think my biggest chance is any flurries anytime from now onwards to Friday afternoon for a dusting. At the moment the car and grass have slush left on them
  15. There is a slight windchill here on the coast but only when you head down to the seafront which is expected from something like this. Dew point -0.5c temp at 1.5c, I would say feels more like -1c, nothing compared to the windchill of -6c in my forecast!
  16. If you ask me, this is a good start as we already have light precipitation falling away from coasts which people said was unlikely. Hopefully this is the start of what's to come for a few days..
  17. 1c with constant snow grains with small flakes whirling in when it's the heavier bits of the showers
  18. Light snow flurries on and off since 6ish, covering only on grass and cars but I'm very happy, especially as I only thought my chance wasn't on saturday
  19. i don't even know if i would be in a good place for a wash streamer.. knowing my luck it would pass about half mile out to sea! In other news we had a grand total of 3 snowflakes so far, better then i thought!
  20. exactly, its unrealistic to wish for anything more then a few flurries and maybe a dusting anymore you seem very optimistic! if only i could agree.. alot of models seem to think here on the coast its marginal for snow, more likely to fall as sleet or even rain which i find surprising with the uppers hanging around
  21. light snow showers showing on mine from friday evening to sunday morning, hopefully we see just a single flake.. i'd be happy by that to be able to say it did snow in the memorable easterly of 2017!
  22. all but just several days in august last summer topped 23c, which i class as a good summer month, it went on into mid september aswell with 30c two days in a row ending the summer weather before it transitioned into more seasonal temperatures.
  23. The past two Summers have been amazing with very hot notable heatwaves in my area both years.. if we could top the temp record since i moved here of 33.4c in 2015 then I will be very pleasantly surprised!
