It is!!! Just come overhead right now and we just had a HUGE bolt of lightning that covered the whole sky!

First visible bolt of lightning, looked out window at the perfect moment! So fricking happy! Constant rumbles now.. rained lightly for a few seconds then stopped, no more since EDIT: Seconds after posting this the heavens have opened fully and we have full on torrential huge drops of rain AND more visible strikes! None seem to be hitting the ground yet though..

Heavens just broke, huge bang down the road aswell! Insane!

Friends reporting back to my from Kings Lynn and Dersingham areas under neath some of the near storms reporting crazy flash flooding and bright white and blue flashes

Sweating with anticipation, got rumbles constantly from the East and South! only 7 miles away on the East, 4 from the South!

Its approaching here! Getting bit nervous now actually.. the constant flashing and rumbling in the distance is daunting.. I have! The black clouds in the distance getting closer is actually terrifying me.. not been scared of a storm cloud and rainfall in a while.. equally as excited though!

Steady constant rumble now from the storms as close as 10 miles away now! Watching these completely black clouds approach,hoping it keeps its spark as it approaches

New rumbles of very distant thunder 15+ miles away every few seconds, black clouds, darker then earlier, approaching here now! Could get some overhead action..

I don't know if I'm going insane but a cell to my South visible as I speak seem to have slight rotation in its lower clouds?

Good luck down there William! The storm that narrowly passed me just then seems to be dead, just a bit of torrential rain down the road again that didn't even get to me. Total of 7 rumbles, 2 flashes which passed by insanely quickly, coulda blinked and missed it all! More development in sight to my south and west, hoping for round 2 of the day soon..

Quick question, why is the lightningmaps.org not showing any strikes from the area if I can definitely see/hear them? It showed the first one but just removed that aswell?

At this rate i'll be skipping any food or just ordering in a take-away! 3rd rumble, then 4th accompanied by a slight distant flash!

Huge rumble from the distance, checked radar, strike a few miles away from a huge black cloud i can see approaching in the distance!

Im sick of this, I just want thunder. I heard distant rumbles a second day in a row today. As I type theres a cell causing torrential downpours literally 2 streets away, whilst here its sunny, then a few miles the other way out in the wash there was another cell that generated electricity. All I want is lightning, or at least some rain. I guess I still have a chance, I can see more towers building in the distance which are approaching slowly, but I don't think my chance of actual lightning here is very high now most of the larger cells have started dying off in the area.

I'm in Hunstanton, no more then 15 miles from the closest thunder, been constant faint rumbles for about an hour now, chucked it down on and off aswell. Bit annoyed as it hasn't made much progress any closer.

It really hasn't been that bad here in Hunstanton. Yes, it was a bit drizzly this morning, and its still cloudy here, but it is no colder then it has been the past week here under the cloud that lifted only on 4 afternoons for a few hours. At least that horrendous sea breeze is gone, i don't mind this cloud as long as it doesn't stay below 12c in the day like it did over a week ago.

Anyone else looking over at those cells west of Brussels?! They are crazy, 150-200 strikes a minute from them at the moment..

All I can say is wow, the breeze from the last week has died overnight and temperature is at 19.1c already! Definitely wasn't expected up on the coast here. Wall to wall blue skies here since Sunday cloud disappeared aswell!

21.3c, definitely wasn't expecting 20c+ before this morning after finding out the east coast was meant to stay cool. Forecasts hint at the next few days being just as nice if not better in my location!

Temperatures slowly subsiding, reached 21.3c, much warmer then forecasted here on the coast.

Perfect blue skies, temperature 15.5c after a drop to 7.1c, slight breeze but feeling great in the sun
