Settling on all surfaces here.
Maybe you’ll get the 2-3cm before it even starts tomorrow

Where are you based?
Bramley/Pudsey border actually can hear the rain on the windows over the football on tv. It’s been relentless all day. The ring road at Wortley shut earlier as it was submerged

Full blizzard here already covered the cars hard to see on video but get the idea
I’m probably only 6 miles from Morley and it’s hammering down with rain! Tbf it’s slightly higher where you are not by much though

Well the most balanced view I have heard today .... excellent summary and explains all the options and of course the fine margins but all to play for
They don’t expect the mild weather to even get across the uk late next week. Very interesting

Mmm very interesting 10 day trend video thanks for that. At the most they think the lows will only get as far as central uk meaning significant snow here and mild weather gets no further.

I’m currently part furloughed and my days off next week are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. My teenage daughter has additional needs and is currently in school as she has ADHD and Autism. She has asked me to take her to school next week to which I’ve said ‘I’m not sure it will be open’.
And finally I agree with other posts it’s unbearable in the MOD thread today. Can’t even be bothered posting. And boy if you dare to question the south getting snow you’re borderline banned.
P.s great to see posts from Kasim and Scott. Thoughts as always with your mum Scott

Loving it in the mod thread. Amber warning post removed....lol
Lets see if anyone posts warnings for the south over the weekend
Oh you bet they will stay. Apparently the 18z isn't a good run. They Fail to mention we get a load of snow up here still.

Great timing this time. Car all safely parked up and I'm not in work tomorrow as I'm part furloughed. Instead looks like a nice walk in the snow instead. Looking good for a decent event now even down to low levels

Sorry guys.
My mums still in a really bad way.
I just wanted to post to quickly say tonight in my opinin is being underestimated.
The trend today has been to keep the front as all snow in Yorkshire.
Euro4 12z.
Run this model through look at the parameters look at when milder air runs through.
Its AFTER precipitation has left us at 9am.
I feel 5cm - 8cm fairly widely due to the strength of the band and 3+ hours of evaporative cooling.
Im going against the mets conservative amounts as was the case a few weeks ago
Ill be lingering but not posting or taking charts in much detail as this would be wrong but my own opinion is the ecm12z is bang on the money for the weekend.
If anyone saw the last ec46. The coldest period was mid month after.
Notice first signs of a scandi high building 240+ hours.
I expect this to build due to diving low pressure from a greater atlantic influence in week 2 as spotted by blue army with then another retrogression to greenland due to solid mjo phase 7/8 impacts only then flitering through and a boost off +AAM from am excellent wind pattern near the equator.
For me minimum of 10-14 days impactive cold from saturday this week omwards which for my own forecast first week of december is amazing to see come to fruition!
Take care all and enjoy some snow tomorrow morning hopefully!!
Great to hear from you Scott. Thanks for your insight into the snow for tomorrow. Really hope your mum is ok. No need to explain your absence. It’s only the weather at the end of the day and of course your attention should be on your mum at this time. Sending best wishes from us all on netweather especially the Yorkshire thread. Take care mate

Well we all like to refer to the cold spell of 87. But there was a memorable quote from a certain forecaster over another event that year.
And thinking of that, we’ve had a few people calling in saying there’s going to be more than a single cherry picked GEFS member posted tonight. Well don’t worry there isn’t- 6

Mmmm not sure this is an upgrade in all honesty. With these Meto updates is always wise to look for what wording they drop too. And like Mountain Shadow says significant snowfall is now dropped. I’m not saying it’s a bad update by any means, just something to be aware of
