    Not long until the main event arrives. If I was in the UK right now, that little storm would have been the most, looks like this may become the worst storm I will have experienced, unwetter (severe weather warning) is out from the DWD.

    Can't believe it hasn't been called off yet, a very dangerous storm approaching.

    Can't belive this is only the beginning, had some very close strkes so far. Grandparents passing it off as normal. They may be in for a nasty surprise later this evening...

    Already very frequent lightning, looks like the football may get called off soon once it intensifies. Strikes are very close now, seems like Munich is a storm magnet in the summer.

    I can just sense a constant but very very quiet growl, started raining here, hopefully I won't have to experience what it is like to be in a house struck by lightning directly again, had it twice already

    The main course hasn't even arrived yet, If anything the warm plume air is strengthening the development

    Excited but nervous at the same time, goodness knows what this could turn into as we move later into the night, it is already viscous now. One can really feel the tense humidity compared to failed events.

    and I am seeing... nothing, had one or two flashes in the last hour. Slightly disappointing to be in the gap so far

    I am glad I don't have that Supercell in the northern counties over me, geeze all we ask for is a nice spanish plume event with lots of lightning, not supercells causing havoc to peoples lives. One extreme or the other I guess.

    How things change in just a minute, that cell over Hants/Surrey is now spurting out lightning and is steady increasing

    New cell sprung up just south of Brighton

    lightning starting to pick up more from that cell, 62 per min, very worrying news from Cornwall, thoughts with those affected

    I say: Let's wait an see, it looks disappointing at the moment, there may be some development later, but I am still prepared to be disappointing. After all I will be on the continent from Thursday. Some dark clouds to my south and has become more breezy
