My review so far: Nice to see snow on the ground, however it hasn't been anything *really really* amazing.
-
For some reason the weather is doing exactly the opposite of what was forecast. Showers are meant to be dying down not becoming more widespread...
-
Lots of unexpected snow showers today. My location will get light snow throughout the rest of the afternoon/evening.
-
Any showers diverging outside of the 'streamer' zone seem to be disappearing into thin air.
-
An extremly light covering of snow here, but bringing down the temps. Unfortunately I don't expect SW London/Surrey to do well tonight.
-
Nothing for SW London, and based on radar/forecasts, I don't expect anything until Thurs.
-
Based on the current setup, not expecting anything more than a dusting for my area tonight/tomorrow. A very clear streamer developed missing out my area completely, as expected. Thursday does bring some interest though with the BBC staying firm on a potential blizzard.
-
Looking at the different forecasts/precip charts, I am expecting about 5-6cm in my location tomorrow. Then a bit of a break on Wednesday before the chaos on Thurs/Frid
-
Snow floating around like cotton, an extremely light dusting with some snow evaporating.

I am still staying on the side of caution. Charts still a long way out, cold may be on the way in, but -17. Really? EDIT: I take it back, just checked my local Netweather forecast.... -
My local metoffice forecast has been updating (or downgrading on how you see wind) constantly over the past few days.

An area of rain showery type things approaching London, almost looks like those dust storms you see in desert countries. Also fairly breezy. -

It is really dusty here in London, sky is a weird colour. Must be that Saharan sand stuff -

Not even a two minutes of coverage on the 10 O'clock news... and not even a mention of Wales. Wow. Just Wow. Some serious questions will have to be answered at the end of this... -

What astounds me is that England never learns, they are shambolic at preparation, just look at the 80's Nuclear Information Flims... I mean leaning tables to the wall and plopping cushions all over it.... -

This is what annoys me, why isn't the national hurricane centre working with european weather organisation. Compared to early warning in the US, where they literally have days to prepare, what we have seen is utterly appalling. -

Just don't take the risk. We have all seen how conservative that MetOffice have been with their forecasts, when we know that something very very serious is on it's way. School open or not, stay indoors. -

seems the main event passed south, thank goodness. -

almost seems like some of the lightning detectors have conked out because of this.
