In Absence of True Seasons The United Fungi

Another nice sunny day with temperatures hitting twenty in the afternoon I expect. This is traditionally the Northwest’s best part of summer (May - June). Often we look on in July and August at wonderful weather elsewhere in British Isles as our summer disintegrates towards end of June.

Alderc 2.0 would you be happy with more than a months rainfall in a 24 hour period if all the other days in the month were warm and dry? Or is it the statistic that, technically, it’s another ”wet month” that annoys you? I’d be ok with that personally.

danm Urban hotspots?

Huge temperature differential across the island of Ireland tomorrow , 20+ and sunny in north v 7 and rain in south. I’d imagine that will be mirrored in Great Britain.
-
In Absence of True Seasons just the setup at the minute. Benign flabby low pressure system with widely spaced isobars in this location allowing for warm sunny spells. I’ll take it!

Much better up here today after yesterdays grot. Mostly blue sky with some clouds with high teens forecast possibly 20 tomorrow and Friday. Not heatwave but nice after the poor weather all spring.
-
danm you always know the clouds bubbled up when the photos dry up

Frigid I prefer it a little warmer than that. 20-24 by day 12-15 by night

I was thinking of having a family BBQ this weekend but I’ve no idea if I will with the uncertainty. I know they’re apps but how can they be THAT different?

And we know what that frequently means…….

northwestsnow all the way from Svalbard in May. Lovely. jamesthemonkeh all the way from Svalbard in May. Lovely. -
LetItSnow! correct! Mud is already beginning to dry and crack and it’s only been dry with temperatures in mid teens since Friday

CryoraptorA303 Theres a “schedule”? I’m no climate denier but that type of statement is the opposite, climate ramping.

raz.org.rain don’t be scared. “Expect” and “project” Even if it happens, there’s nothing you can do about it, other than vote for Greta Thunberg, whose ideas would create as many problems as they solve. Just try to enjoy life as best you can.

lassie23 At this point, to be honest, I’d take thee humidity.

Model Output Discussion - Spring Has Sprung
Northwest NI replied to Community Team's topic in Forecast Model Discussion
The thread title “Spring has sprung” is becoming less and less appropriate with each passing day. There is hope in my locale at least, for a decent spell beginning this weekend. The Metoffice is notoriously pessimistic with temps in my area so hoping for mid teens to maybe 16 - 17 degrees during mid afternoons. -
booferking totally predictable. Anything coming up from the South will only be a slushy mess. I’ve had zero interest in this event from when it was first mooted. What has happened is what I expected - wet snow on the highest ground. If there is a NW - N - NE element to a cold spell I’m interested. Even the feted Beast from the East doesn’t do a lot here but at least it’s seasonally cold when it does happen.

@markyo and it ALWAYS verifies!
