  1. So do us West Londoners belong here? -1.7c cloudy, grey and miserable. Looking like we'll miss the bulk of any PPN which is a shame.
  2. Actually looking quite tame for Northern and Western parts of London, lucky to see anything at this rate.
  3. Also got to remember the vast majority of the general public don't really have that much interest in the weather beyond check the BBC Weather App or catching a forecast on BBC News etc.
  4. Sounds about right - personally quite happy with that, a bit of snow is great but disruptive snow gets in the way of life, hopefully will stay out of the way of the bulk of the Thames Streamer
  5. Must be a nightmare for the Met Office not knowing who is going to get hit with snow, I wonder if red warnings will go out over the whole region just in case? I imagine the Government are already gearing up for a very busy week!
  6. I think getting into Heathrow shouldn't be too much of a problem, might be a bit of snow but not as bad as others areas, especially with the potential positioning of the streamer . Getting to SE Kent could be an issue though
  7. Just outside the warning zone, hopefully that means we'll avoid the worst of the disruption!
  8. Think that should nip it in the bud for those who continue to drone on about their being no snow.
  9. I vaguely remember we had a really good spell of Snow in West London back in 2003 (I think) I remember walking home in it and if I remember correctly it was blizzard like conditions - does anyone know/remember how that came about? Similar to this set up or was it more N/NE? Cheers
  10. I think marginal has been used in the wrong context, the conditions certainly aren't marginal but how far the precipitation moves in land and which locations get a dumping is still very much up in the air - further East you are the better obviously. There's also a bit of reverse psychology going on here I think by a few people, perhaps trying to avoid disappointment from previous set ups.
  11. I suggest that you keep an eye on the radar over the weekend, also better to expect nothing and then be pleasantly surprised when it does Snow.
  12. Lovely forecast by the MetO Wonder when the warnings will go out?
  13. So, how long before we see the first reports of 'panic buying' ? The Mail & Express love a panic buy!
  14. Everyone across the South has a chance, we won't know for certain till much nearer the time - we might get an idea 72-48 hours beforehand but a lot of it will be now-casting for Snow.
  15. Why is there such a contract between the MetOffice and BBC? Doesn't MeteoGroup and MetOffice use similar/same charts? Seems irresponsible of the BBC to forecast dryness when there's a possibility of disruption - I imagine BBC Weather is probably the most viewed by those that don't have as much of an interest as many on here have.
  16. Imagine the uproar when all we get is bitter cold and no snow! Looking like an exciting couple of weeks ahead of us.
