  1. Looks like some of you might wake up so some of the white stuff after all....
  2. The MOD is such a state at the moment, so many posts based on personal opinion rather than what's being shown in the charts.
  3. Still plenty of time to change as we get closer. At least it's going to be nice and cold though!
  4. So, it looks like Thursday is going to be very wet and miserable before the cold comes in and takes a grip. Looks like we could get a good lasting cold spell, with the weekend being particularly bitter. Think some of us will certainly see some falling snow, perhaps sleety, but I'd be surprised if anything settled. All in all, looking forward to hopefully a prolonged cold spell!
  5. Looking forward to some cold weather, looks like it's going to be bitterly cold for a little while once Friday hits. Not so sure about our chances for snow but could be worse.
  6. Incredibly dark here in West London at the moment, some of the street lights have turned on.
  7. The strength of that wind! Incredibly dangerous if any debris gets you though at those speeds.
  8. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-41635906 It's from Ophelia bringing in tropical air and dust from the Sahara.
  9. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-41635906 Also got a very orange looking sky here in West London too, it feels almost pre-thunderstorm.
  10. If that cloud breaks it's going to feel very very warm in the August sun - fingers crossed we get a bit of luck throughout the afternoon.
  11. Few short spells of heavy rain and the odd rumble of thunder, feeling chilly now. Was hoping for a nice warm evening and a few beers outside but looks like more of the same through the late afternoon
  12. Really coming down here, could be some localised flooding at this rate, hopefully it clears away before home time!
  13. Looks like they're really struggling to predict what's going to happen, despite being within the warning area, I think where I am will be fine today.
  14. Strange that MetO and BBC are forecasting thunderstorms this evening, can't really see much to support that at the moment.
  15. Just seen that the latest forecast says thunderstorms between 6-8 pm this evening, can't quite see it myself as I think we'll be on the edge of what's predicted, could get tasty for those South of London and Reading!
  16. Another lovely day, looks like tomorrow is going to be another hot one, albeit on the humid side. Fortunately it looks like we'll miss the bulk of the thunderstorms if the Netwx-SR is anything to go by - going to be very very wet to the West of us though!
  17. Certainly needed around these ends, grass has turned straw-like. Hopefully it'll lower the pollen count for a while as well!
  18. Gearing up to be another lovely day, absolutely delightful yesterday, hopefully we get more sun than cloud though. Latest forecast doesn't have much in the way if thunderstorms where I am, which is good news
  19. Just got back from Kos where it was a scorching 45.9 degrees on Saturday, the forecast over the next few days is child's play in comparison!
  20. Met Office said said thunderstorms mainly for Wales, Midlands and Northern England this evening and overnight.
  21. Will there be Thunderstorms across the wider region or is it just East Anglia for now?
  22. Despite it reaching 32 degrees yesterday, this morning has felt worse despite it only being 25 degrees, the humidity has been awful - the sooner this cloud moves out the better! Looks like tomorrow is going to be even hotter! Absolutely delightful weather, some of the best we've had in ages!
