    Well the New Year is almost upon us, and yes, owing to the storm that has been passing over us today all our guests have cancelled. There is a stash of booze to be drunk and tonnes of food to be eaten, so looks like the remainder of the night will be filled by getting drunk and fat. Well a Happy New Year to you all.

    Latest update, windspeed appears to have been dropping over the past half an hour or so, there has also been a distinct lack of showers during this period also. Current steady windspeed 31mph with the latest recorded gust being 44mph.

    Windspeed has started to increase now up to a steady 15mph with stronger gusts. Currently dry, clear and cold with a temperature of 5 degrees.

    I think the Fog has well and truly dissipated for the time being, so hopefully it should be a nicer drive home this evening. The temperature has now increased to a respectable 5 Degrees, skies are now cloudy, but it is nice to see a glimpse of the sun every now and again.

    Blimey, I think he could do with an AR coating on his lenses, I like being dazzled, but that was a bit too much.

    I remember this event well. This happened before I moved to NI (I was still living in Somerset at that time). However, we were over visiting the in-laws and we headed out that evening . Let's just say we were driving along country lanes dodging fallen branches and trying to avoid the branches that were falling as we were driving along.
