  1. Damn, I never get to choose the colour, ah well, as long as I get to pick your neglagae (sp?) for the bedroom then that should do me just fine.
  2. Cheers mate, the builder keeps adding on 'extras' so I've had to reign him in a bit. After all, if I wanted 'extras' surely I would pop over to Kings Cross, Bedford Hill or Amsterdam <_< The Master Bedroom of course, oh, look at that, it just happens to be mine too
  3. A lovely sunny start to the day, a bit of a stiff breeze but pleasant all the same. Currently partially cloudy with a temperature of 11°C

    Latest Update

Now that I would dearly love. I like a good party too
  5. These photo's were taken last Saturday. Looks tiny from the front, which I am well pleased about, as this was stipulated in our planning permission being granted, but it obviously all happens as you go back into the house and beyond. As you can see we now have a roof a semi completed Garage and internal doorframes (not pictured). We are hoping to have windows in within the next few weeks too . Here's the photees:
  6. A dryish day, couple of spots of drizzle every now and again. Currently a chilly 10 Degrees and overcast.
  7. Great footage Dee, some numbnut left the kitchen door open at work and we had a bit of a flood in the kitchen owing to those storms as shown on Newsline. I hate getting wet feet when making a brew
  8. Well after a few days of heavy and torrential downpours it would appear that things have finally subsided for us in NI. It's looking good for a drier weekend at last!

    Latest Update

Things are really shifting now. Looks like we'll be ready for the roof soon! We also have an outside toilet in a lovely shade of Blue, as donated by the hard working builders............. Anyway, here's the photees: The house from an alternative angle to the norm: The house from the front in full view: The Garage (seeing as its a new addition):
  10. Not uploaded a photo for the comp for a while, so here you are, just some clouds but so much variation, well I think so anyway!
  11. Err, can someone please explain to me what's going on, OON.
  12. :o I'm personally too far to the West to have witnessed it although Intrepid would certainly have seen the Cloudline for sure, other than that I couldn't possibly comment. For once, and probably the only time, I have to agree with PP, 'mini-tornado' grrrrr...

    Housey Update.

Cheers Guys, Looking forward to getting out there again on Saturday to see if they have progressed any further. The weather hasen't been great for the past few days and as the roof isn't on yet i'm not expecting too much!
  14. I put your name in lights in my new Blog entry but the bulbs blew (sorry about that), but I hope it will still do . Also, thanks for your idea, which isn't a bad one actually, thinking about your idea I could make the river bank into a theme of the garden with a gate as you have advised, so thanks for that Beka

    Housey Update.

Well as Beka has asked for it here's the latest house build update. I gave it a break for a couple of weeks as I have been sooooo busy, but here's the latest photo's to add to your gallery! Latest view from the front Looking down the side via the Sun Room View from the back end! (of the Kitchen towards the back door) Looking in through the front door I decided to climb the scaffold to get an overall perspective of the upstair space that we hope to convert in the future. I got the widest angle shot that I could whilst dangling from the side of the building! Well thats it for now. Check back soon for the next update!
  16. Another glorius start to the week, blue skies sun and calm. Current temp a chilly 5 degrees,
  17. Good point Andy. As we own half of the land that the rivers run through also, I am reluctant to fence the edge of the river off, yet I am struggling to come up with a solution to ensure no-one goes for an unnecessary dip! (unlike our unfortunate Architect who err, fell on his backside in the river when he was measuring the land out for transfer). You had to be there but it was a definite moment. Oh to have had a camera on me at the time  We probably won't be in the house until nearer Christmas, but that will soon be upon us and I would like to have a solution drawn up by then.
  18. Overcast with the sun breaking through every now and again. Currently 11 degrees and still.
  19. Took the opportunity to visit the site again this morning quite early seeing as it was sooooo nice out there . I have taken some more pictures to share with you all (especially Beka). From the naked eye it doesn't look like much has been done, but the builders are at the same level all round now (except the conservatory) and they have also started the secondary internal wall blocks. I also have a dilema. We have a river running down the side of the property (see photo's). I would dearly like to make a feature of it in the garden (tier off the river and run it through with a bridge etc), but Mrs Dazza doesn't want too . Although we don't have children yet, we haven't discounted the fact that we would like a family before it gets too late. Mrs Dazza is therefore concerned that little feet may fall into the 'feature' and is scared of this happening, hence her current disapprovement. What do you all think? Your comments would be appreciated (hopefully in my selfish favour ). Anyway, the photo's are below:
  20. Black skies, Snow, Hail Tornadoes, Lightening and Thunder* *well this is what Friday the 13th should really throw upon us, but hey ho, I'll have to do with Sun, Clear skies and temp of 11 degrees instead.
  21. Hi Kel, 3 bedrooms initially as it's a bungalow, although we will be expanding to 5 bedrooms and an office once we get the upstairs converted (it will be semi prepared upstairs as part of the build), but we are going to save up to do the upstairs or the mortgage will kill us! There will also be a Living Room, Dining Room, Bathroom & an En-suite off the Master Bedroom, a Cloakroom, a Storeroom, a rather large Kitchen, a Utility Room and a builtin Conservatory/Sun Room (which is on the right hand side of the property looking across the best view from the site) oh and a Garage. It's quite a big house and the photo's don't really reflect the true size. Phew, well you did ask
