  1. Is it a relief from the heat or a disappointment that the cloud is spoiling the weekend for some of you Midlanders? Sunny 24c here in west Wales.

  3. It seems a hot spot, has featured as hottest spot in Wales quite a few times this summer, don't recall hearing of it in previous years so possibly a new station.

  7. Porthmadog finished on 31.4c, max 30.1c here, but it felt unbearably hot at Aberystwyth.

  9. Max 29.1c hottest this summer, trawsgoed max 28c, according to @DerekTheWeather 30c possibly at Bute Park.
  10. Suspect too that one often way too high especially minima, even though it is listed on weatheronline. Not seen it referenced on the met office site so dubious, 29c the hottest so far at bablake school and church lawford not far from Baginton airport.
  11. Expect a 30c somewhere across Wales this afternoon, already 27c in places inc here, it reached 30c in Powys last Saturday.
  12. Nowhere officially topped 30c for the Midlands this spell, reckon today's the day, 27c here in West Wales.
  13. You also need be aware of dodgy weather stations and siting meaning they are almost certainly ott.
