  10. Excellent site! The photo section is a great idea to get all the photos together when an event happens such as the extreme snow over the NE. LIke the regional forecasts and the technical area is most informative!
  11. With those charts Andy showed it could be just be the odd flakes in the wind within the depicted snow zones.
  12. Don't know why people are surprised at snow falling in this set up. Doubtful it will amount to much and the majority will see nothing today.
  13. One or possibly two ice days. Coventry had one Sunday. Yesterday was 2 or 3c over the Midlands.

  15. Lambs dead and on the plate by Autumn anyway! Or much sooner: http://www.viva.org.uk/guides/animals/lambs.html
  16. Daffs only just blooming, snowdrops still in bloom, very few buds opening or leaves unfurling, and bare hedgerows still. No migrants yet, usually heard a Chiffchaff by now. Not much bird song, no dawn chorus as yet. Grass not growing. Using too much oil for heating.
  17. Indeed, we have had cold, snowy March's before, it snowed on half the days in many areas in March 1979 for example.
  18. Looks like much of the snow has thawed in Coventry, did well to stick for 3 days though.
  19. Some decent sunny spells this afternoon. Max higher than expected as a consequence at 5.6c, although 30 minutes either side of this peak it was just 3c.
  20. Probably my worst ever performance going to end up around 3c too high!
  21. GFS all over the place re weekend, yesterday was showing 13c!
