  1. Snow shovel LOL Keith Heavy showers moving in could see some flakes as it lowers the temperature, 4c down from 7c.
  2. Clearing very slowly that is perhaps another hour for Solihull.
  3. It's clearing west Midlands now, heavy showers following this afternoon though.
  4. Mostly cloudy with rain at times today, quite heavy spells mid morning. Moderate to fresh southerly wind. Min: 2.5c @ 0200 Max: 9.2c @ 1500 Rain yesterday: 2mm Rain since 0900 today: 6.5mm Currently: Light rain Temp: 4c RH: 94% Pressure: 995mbar, falling And Thursday's selection:
  5. 5mm rain so far this morning more than in the past 4 weeks!
  6. Long way behind the -15.6c March 1947 record though (Coventry).
  7. And to think just a year ago CH you kept saying Warwickshire always misses the worst of the rain!
  8. Maxed out at 8.4c today an 18c range! 29th day averaging below 0.2mm over the period since mid February means a partial drought for here, no doubt the dry ground as we now have locally has contributed to the severe frosts of late, what with less than 5mm falling in the past month.
  9. Just about qualified as a 'partial drought' here, this the 29th day during which the rainfall has averaged out at below 0.2 mm (total rain below 5mm). This spell should be well and truly finished tomorrow.
  10. Clear with a severe frost last night, the coldest night of 'Winter'. Dry with sunny periods today, a light to moderate south to SW breeze. Milder than of late. Min: -10.2c @ 0600 Max: 8.4c @ 1500 Rain yesterday: 0.7mm Dry so far today Currently: Clear intervals. Temp: 3.7c RH: 84% Pressure: 1014mbar, falling. Of note is that during the past 29 days, less than 5mm has fallen which makes it a partial drought (at least 29 consecutive days averaging below 0.2mm). No doubt this contributed to the severity of the frost last night with the ground now so dried out locally.
  11. Clear periods and a heard frost last night. Rather cloudy, some sunny intervals to early afternoon. A few brief ice pellet/ snow grain, sleet and snow showers this morning. Sunny after 1400. Moderate north breeze. Clear and frosty this evening. Min:-6.4c @ midnight Max: 5.6c @ 1300 Rain yesterday: 0.1mm Rain since 0900 today: 0.6mm Currently: Clear and frosty. Temp: -3.6c RH: 95% Pressure: 1016mbar, rising slowly.
  12. Shame if this cold March fails to produce one decent snowfall, nothing as yet.
  13. Seems it has been cold enough today for snow showers in places, especially high ground in Wales and the Midlands. Max generally 5 to 7c.
  14. That can't be accurate then with a max of 10c, nowhere else bar the suspect Coventry Airport above 6c for the WM this afternoon.
  15. In any case the high at Coleshill is only 5c.
  16. No I would say 9c is the upper limit, the air is freezing only a few hundred metres up and snow can survive, while the sun is only heating the surface atmosphere really. In June 1975 it there was sleet and snow with maxima of 9 or 10c.
  17. It was always going to be wintry showers today, any snow a bonus.
