  1. Showers with hail early last night to clear intervals and a slight frost, light to moderate WSW. Sunny intervals and a few brief light hail showers today, better sunny spells afternoon. Rather cold with a moderate NW breeze. Min -0.5c @ 0728 Max 5.1c @ 1131 Rain yesterday 8.6mm Rain since 0900 today 0.1mm Est sun 3 hours Max gust SW 22mph @ midnight Currently Clear periods, grass frost 0.6c/ 82%/ 1010mbar rising
  2. At least you have height advantage there cf Llanelli!
  3. The precipitation downdraught brings down those colder uppers briefly!
  4. Your welcome Les There is a band of wintry mix showers coming your way shortly from the NW perhaps some hail or brief snow then it will brighten up soon afterwards
  5. Potential Dangler midweek Sam if only its cold enough..
  6. Its coming from the NW so yes
  7. With your height would not rule out snow in the next week. Feels like a March or April showers set up at present, chilly but warmth in the sun now. From this and as per Spring I would expect further surprise snowfalls in these marginal synpotics, with obviously hills doing the best. Not sure that any snow if it manages to settle below 250m will hang aroung so long, but nice where you get it, as was the one here earlier in the week
  8. He is just on his hols
  9. Or it could end up another Wales snow event still a fair few possibilities..
  10. And that's sent while he is abroad on his hols the guy is dedicated to the cause!
  11. Well he put us outside his snow zone
  12. Doubt they appreciated it at the time especially in the trenches
  13. I think the reason many forecasters are indifferent at best to cold snowy weather is that it is very difficult to forecast compared with run of the mill weather, basically it makes their job extremely difficult.
  14. Do any of you follow Derek on Twitter? If not you should do he is totally committed to Welsh weather.
  15. The cold front (squall line) cleared through midnight when the temperature was a very mild 9.9c. Clear intervals after the rain and some showers, fresh decreasing to moderate SW breeze. Colder today (than overnight), sunny intervals and a few passing hail and rain showers, the moderate SW wind picked up to fresh gusting gale force this afternoon. Min 2.9c @ 0630 Max by day 5.5c @ 1500 Rain yesterday 28.2mm (Teifi in spate) Rain since 0900 today 1.5mm approx Est sun 2 hours Max gust SW 38mph @ 1438 Currently Recent shower 4.5c/ 84%/ 988mbar rising slowly
  16. Yep the bigger the better
  17. It was a typical squall line here but no hail which we sometimes get.
  18. Latest max gust 96mph Capel Curig a very exposed location. Reckon about 2.15 AP for you as you say provided it holds = nothing out of the ordinary though..
  19. Not unusual for Capel Curig though Through here now, 10 minutes torrential rain and 55mph gusts on the line temp peaked 9.9c a contrast to the snowy -2.7c this morning. Almost 25mm from the event.
  20. Quite an exciting squall line just passed through, no higher gusts than earlier and the obligatory 10 minutes torrential rain. Temp peaked at 9.9c quite a contrast to the snowy -2.7c this morning! Almost one inch of rain from the event.
  21. Yes here by 1mph, not sure about those Aber speeds as far as I know no WS on the prom! 93mph gust Capel Curig and 81mph Mumbles
  22. 93mph gust Capel Curig and 81mph Mumbles
