Hint of sleet in the spits of rain this afternoon. Meanwhile, Dad reported snow proper from Coventry earlier this evening- told him it would nt last long though!

Spells of rain to 1100; heavy from about 0700. Total of 24mm 0900 yesterday to 1100 today. Also a strong to gale force southerly wind that also abated suddenly by 1100. Min: 8.0c was yesterday evening. Max: 9.6c @ 1050. Sunny intervals early afternoon before showers 1430 -1530. Currently: Fairly clear, possibly with a ground frost. Temp: 2.3c Pressure: 998 mbar, rising slowly.

Did not hear the wind last night, although apparently it was bad in Aberystwyth. It had dropped off sufficiently by the end of the night to permit a slight air frost. Min: -0.2c. Current pressure: 1002 mbar, falling slowly. Forgot to mention that a covering of snow/hail visible on the hills to the north and east of Aberystwyth at lunchtime today, down to about 300m.
