  1. Been snowing here consistently since about 5am and still coming down but it seems to have stopped settling. About 5 inches on the ground and temp is 1c (according to my thermometer in the garden). I can see it melting on the roof tops and trees now. Definately one of the heaviest falls in years but it does not look set to stay.
  2. Cor, today is really super ramping from the media about the prospects for tonight/tomorrow. "Heaviest snow in years", "Significant falls" "5-6 inches of lying in London" .... I am guessing with this much hysteria, it should be the case ..... The frost this morning was harsh in my area but not the worst I have seen strangely enough. Outside thermometer took a reading of -3c, which would certainly be one of the coldest, if not the coldest night in my area.
  3. Scanning the forecasts on the major weather sources on the net, looks like this cold snap will not do much for London and the SE. At the moment it is cool, greay and miserable here is Kent. The office is freezing, just the motivation I need for a Monday! Have fun you guys further north when the snow comes....
  4. Nothing technical as I am sitting at my desk at work near Orpington in Kent However, since about midday, the cloud in the sky is steadier getting thicker. Wind has picked up with quite a windchill factor.
