  1. Hey Crispo! Welcome aboard the snow train. Its snowing in Ballyclare and getting heavier. Ground pretty wet so gonna need to belt it down to grip. Temp is 2.2 ond pressure is dropping.
  2. I'm hanging on in here. It's not over yet by a mile. Expecting showers to come in as the day wears on and then tonight!
  3. Temp is currently 1.7 and the humidity is 34%. That would figure for the grit just blowing about the roads. So.... The DoE don't want to get caught out again. Wise move!
  4. Radar is showing some increased activity. Outside is cold and feels bone dry. I see the Met Office has updated its warnings for NI. Heavy snow Tue, Wed and Thur. Thats a bit of a change form earlier. Love those guys!
  5. Absolutley right there Shrike. Though all i got was a slight covering from that event and eight miles down the road is snowed in! I think you are going to do quite well out of this. Ronan, you shouldn't be disappointed either. Its a lovely morning, cold and overcast but it has a sense of anticipation off it. Slight brownish tinge off the clouds. Time to just sit back and watch what does happen. Good luck everyone!
  6. It really is a waiting game now. I'm not building myself up for this as we have been down this road many times before. Albeit this year does and still remains to show differences from previous years patterns. Lamp post at the ready.
  7. Cheers Greyowl. Unfortunatley nothing seems to work. I plugged in my WMR112 main unit and it picked up all the sensors in about 30 seconds. The WMR928NX doesn't seem to pick up the sensors. Has anyone else had this problem? Also, as this was purchased via *-bay, what are my chances on Oregon honouring the warranty? Bugger!
  8. Now that is cold!!! Remember, never let your dingle dangle, dangle in the snow!
  9. Yeah Kippure, have a great time . Keep us posted on your progress and the local weather while you are there!
  10. Tried all. Master reset and the resets on all the external units. Nothing. Thanks Greyowl for the help. Gonna go bang my head against a brick wall.
  11. Many thanks for this Greyowl. I have tried the Channel button option but to no avail. Will wait for first light and get hopped up to go for the reset buttons. Cheers mate!
  12. Hi folks, Looking for some advice on setting up the WMR928NX station. Got the sensors up and running and getting the intermittant lights form the solar panel which I assume indicate transmission. Just not being picked up by the base unit which looks out the window and the sensors with a distance of maybe 25 feet. Not sure about this but total prepared to be red faced by having done something stupid (or not done as the case maybe). Help!
  13. Man I am happy! Had the lightest shower of the good white stuff here. Brother in law looks to have got a good shower 10 miles towards the coast. Heading to see him tomorrow! Might just see a few showers creeping through tonight but very light. 1.1c now wiht a max of 2.5 today. Skies are clearing of the fog but set to return! Hey dice45. I hear you guys up there got a good covering today! Might get lucky around 9ish looking at the radar. fingers crossed for you.
  14. Hey Dice45! Send some of that down my way to Ballyclare would you? No snow here but temps at 1.5c. Total cloud cover. Radar showing little spots of snow all over NI.
  15. Just started here in NOrthern Ireland. Radar lookig good for the next wee while too.
  16. Was away for the weekend in Edinburgh on a stag do! Had a couple of snow showers from 2am in edinburgh on Saturday night but nothing lay. Got the train to troon and coach to cairnryan as our boat was cancelled. Weather a bit sleetish all the way. Got the only boat going back to Ireland last night and it did a fair bit of bobbing and corkscrewing on its way. Heavy showers of snow in the Irish sea. Back to good old Ireland about 11 ish and it was chucking snow down. Up to Ballyclare and it was getting a good grip on the ground. MOstly gone this morning Still getting very heavy showers coming through but it's a bit to mild to let it lie. Lets hope tonight is a bit more productive as the temperature drops.
  17. Rather crap event for NI. Only the south parts of NI got snow and not too much of it. Please let me have one day of good snow thats lying, and when I'm off work. I think I ask to much.

  20. Thought it was about time to put another entry in my blog seeing as it has only been a year since the last one. Waiting with baited breath for the upcoming wintry weather this week and thought I'd enter it in the blog so I can look back on the usual rollercoaster this weather brings. Sunday night and waiting for the snow to come. Weather warning out by the met office for accumulations in my county above 100 meters. I live in a place that has a climate all of it's own. You could leave Belfast heading northe up the M" and as you rise up the side of Cave Hill towards Glengormley the weather just changes in front of your eyes from Rain to sleet to snow. I've lived here for almost 7 years now and my first winter here was the most impressive. Plenty of Ice days and large icicles hanging of the houses. Haven't seen any of that really since. Get the usual good wintry spell each year and I'm hoping this wont be the only one. Work tomorrow But not yet
