Thunderstorms in Ireland again even though they’ve had none of the heat. Typical.
If only they would make their way to Northern England

Never thought I’d hear myself saying a storm was crap but it was
Looking on the radar, Whitby looks to be right in the firing line

Can hear thunder but it sounds very high up despite it being over on top of us

I suspect Whitby could be one of the best areas

Get the feeling that the original squall line is going to redevelop and give some areas in the east a nice unexpected surprise
Can see new developments in line with it on the radar near Birmingham
That could be possible, plus when it starts too cool down that should trigger more widespread storms, lightning wise it looks quiet on radar atm but plenty of heavy showers about
-
Was expecting to see more lightning to be picked up on Real Time Lightning maps at the moment unless a lot of it is elevated

That wouldn't surprise me
I remember a few years ago something similar happened when there was so much cape but not enough moisture but it all kicked off out at sea near Norwich way
-
Odds on these storms kicking off mostly in the North Sea

I assume the storms will be like a squall line set up and move by quite fast

Gone very hot in Pickering now, feels as if someones blowing a warm hair dryer in your face

Looks very promising for North Yorkshire tomorrow, looks like I may have timed going on holiday well if it all kicks off

Currently in North Yorkshire, Pickering so hoping for a good chance with storms, looking like a hot day with clear spells to start with which should help

can't see anything happening here today, but seems where storms are occuring some of them tend to be quite impressive looking on the radar, like the one near Leicester atm
wonder if there will be any more chances when cooling happens, warning still on till 8pm
