Quick hail shower mixed in with the rain now coming along. Really quite chilly here this morning

4 hours of proper heavy rain now clearing away southwards.
-
Well it was quite bright early this morning, albeit chilly, but rain has arrived now. I've had to give in and turn the heating on, seems to early in the year, does anyone think we might be in for a cold winter?
-
Early start to my yearly, how many fence panels have I lost today count
should be an interesting dog walk in the morning along the coast
-
Lottery numbers would be nice too

It's too dark to see a rainbow, had some nice heavy rain, lightening gone south now though.
-
I hear thunder looking at radar it might just be coming this way.......might.

A lovely bright sunny start, albeit with a bit of stiff breeze here on the coast, the clouds have been building now for an hour or so, gone quite gloomy with a few spits n spots of rain.
-
It's so dark, wasn't too bad when I got up few hours ago, no rain but thick cloud and surprisingly muggy even with the breeze.
-
Dull and gloomy here this morning, drizzle ranging from light to heavy for the last couple of hours, strangely not showing up on radar, think the cloud is set in for the day.

nothing here but us clouds.
Same here, clouds building, rain very very close on radar, but nothing yet
-
Yes some lovely clouds out over the sea as I walked dogs on beach this morning, looking at the radar they are staying out there too! No rain yesterday, came close as normal. Blue sky morning, maybe something will drift this way later, but not holding out much hope.

And this evening there's still a line of showers stretching from East London, Chelmsford, through Colchester, past Ipswich towards Lowestoft.
Unfortunately stayed just south of us or fizzled entirely before reaching us don't think that lot in the channel currently will reach us either. Still at least with the more north easterly breeze the humidity has gone tonight
-
Humidity has risen, what feels like 100%, here in the last hour, cloudy now after very warm sun most of the day, see a line of showers developed, hope they come this way also hope this is the last of the heat this summer, I know everyone seems to love it, me, hate it roll on snow ❄️
-
Dull cloudy grey all morning, with rain just to the north of us, few spots of rain as the sun tried to come out, but barely reaching the ground. Hardly a breath of wind, which is unusual for here.

Woke me up at around 0530 hrs: loudish thunder and very bright, white lightning...
Really? Wow didn't hear a thing, definitely didn't get any rain, must have gone round me dull and grey this morning and horribly humid, bring on the fresh air please.

Usually true but i have to say i have been impressed by the number of storms this summer.
There have been a few around, but nothing overhead and not produced much rain. The first couple of years I lived here 2013/14 we had some cracking overnight storms and the rainfall flooded the roads here many times in the day, i watched in wonder at the neighbourhood children playing in the water wondering what the heck possessed them, apparently it's a form of entertainment in these parts. But this year not even decent puddles for the poor depraved creatures to enjoy

Since late 2012, we called it The Triangle of Doom, BB!
I shall remember that for future use. And now the stupid BBC app showing thunder storms for later! Stuff it, I'm going out with the hose to water my garden, waving my fists at the invisible shield

Waiting for rain here is like waiting for snow. It doesn't happen, if it does, it's ten minutes and that's all your getting. The Far East east Anglian rain shield (more like dome if you see the radar) still intact today. Whilst I sympathise with anybody who has been flooded and wouldn't wish for it, just a few solid hours of heavy rain would be lovely.

Not yet, couple of heavy showers, with sunshine in between.
