    Still not a drop and by the way it's been tracking all day, it looks like it's going to carry on going around us, missing the coast here entirely I guess the easterly is pushing it away.

    Oh goody a met office warning of rain, guaranteed not to see any now looks like showers cropping up just about everywhere, on a north east heading, missing the east coast by a mile I suspect! You'll find me out with hose later watering the garden

    Must just be me feeling hot and sticky then been feeling this way since I woke this morning, even the dogs seem more unsettled today though, like me they're heat tolerance has been reached and we'd like snow now lol

    Most definitely warmer here than yesterday, at least with the humidity it feels it. Grey skies and that westerly wind is blowing but blowing warm air unfortunately. If we can't get a decent storm than could we please at least get the fresher air

    Lightening, few bangs of thunder, 2 minutes rain! Was that it? Still humid and yuck, please tell me we're gonna get some more?

    Car reading 27c on way back from beach, it's horribly muggy and those showers appear to be missing us, heading north east grrrrr

    Feels more oppressive to me this morning, humid and can't seem to get enough oxygen in my lungs, horrible feeling. I see pockets of showers popping up to the west, but long way off. I want the rain and a decent storm would be a bonus, but could it kindly hold off until after I take my grandson to the park this morning! Then let it rain, let it rain, let it rain

    It has gone dead still here, not a breath of wind, humid and cloudy, finished watering the garden as I don't believe any rain is coming this way.

    Indeed! Miracles may happen. Noticing a shower on the radar close to Yarmouth at the moment, but going out to sea.

    Ohhh two lightening symbols on the weather app for tomorrow lunchtime! Do I believe it will happen? Not on your nelly as for this morning, nice breeze coming off the sea and I hope it stays to keep temps down, I'm glad I no longer live inland at times like these.

    As someone who dislikes the heat (not the sun) I'm happy we have some cloud cover today and the winds have picked up, giving some relief to the humidity. For a brief while the BBC app was showing a thunder storm for Thursday morning, but it's gone again

    Looks like warning has now been done, yellow wind warning, better late than never I guess

    The wind gusts are pretty strong here on the coast, my fragile eucalyptus 9ft tall but skinny trunk was almost over this morning, had to wedge a large plank of wood against its branches to help upright it, I fear it will be ranked out the ground by the end of the day still waiting for some decent rainfall, about 1mm overnight.

    Been warm and humid here despite the winds, looking at the rain over the channel and wondering if it's gonna make it to us?

    We have *drum roll please* ..... rain, and not even heavy rain. The heavy stuff went past us, heard a rumble in the distance, but that definitely was not worth the wait. I wish they wouldn't give out warnings, guarantees we don't get any action with a warning

    It is really warm and humid here this morning, no breeze to speak of, even by the sea walking the dogs was very hot. Waiting to see if the rain makes it here later.

    Your only 5 miles down the road you might have a 5% more chance still it's a lovely day here today, draining a 300 gallon pond, which is nicely watering my leylandi, eucalyptus trees and all the other plants in the garden, who have been suffering badly this year with lack of rain, saves me watering them this week.

Whilst most places will miss the worst, it could lead to localised surface water flooding and difficult driving conditions. Frequent lightning and perhaps hail could be additional hazards. Hmmm, not holding out much hope.

    5 minutes of torrential rain just pushed through, now gone out to sea. Really hope that lovely lot in the channel makes it here later, quite happy to be woken by some thunder and a decent light show.
