  1. @Bricriu To answer your earlier question re. January 1987, the upper air over far Eastern Kent was as low as -19c!
  2. 11c on Channel Coasts? Surely not, wouldn't even qualify as 'chilly'
  3. 232m ASL in a quaint little village in the Cotswolds? Ah no wonder you're so positive haha!
  4. UKV seeing a reduction in temperature from the East on the far reaches of it's 15z run
  5. UKV tickling the East Sussex coast with 80-90mph winds again- That comes after a notable and cross model shift North this morning. Looking pretty significant to say the least!
  6. Shift north on 06z GFS illustrated on this chart. Not resolved yet!
  7. Meanwhile Coastal East Sussex gets 90-95mph winds. Unbelievable run for us...
  8. Yes, 06z ARPEGE showing a swath of 80mph winds touching the coast, 90mph over the channel.
  9. Still 85-90mph gusts for the East Sussex coast on this morning's 03z UKV!
  10. If that latest UKV run is to be believed (obviously will change), that would be strongest for many years at 85-95mph widely along the coast!
  11. Trying to feel optimistic! But not liking the activity near the channel islands to be honest...
  12. These storms won't exhaust the instability pool, will they...?
  13. Nice to hear! I'll be on Bexhill beach somewhere if you come that far!
