    Bugger all here so far. Was awake until 3am last night round my aunts in Hockley eagerly watching the radar, but they all went to bed shortly after and turned the internet off, so I gave up and went to sleep, radar showed a sleet band pass through here around 4-5am. Had a few clips of VERY light sleet on radar, but nothing actually visible here in Benfleet. Currently 1.9c, Dew point 0.9c. Everything so far today has just skirted a few miles west of me!

    2.4C here With all the rain, then 'sleet', then more rain. I'm expecting to have to stay up till the early hours to see anything, but not wake up to a dusting. I'm only at 40m and near the coast! Don't think I'll see much with the street lights always off now either lol With all that said, my expectations for my area are firmly on the floor! BBC are predicting a heavy hail shower here for 11pm

    Gas has run out here, just got home, no storage heaters and no gas card because mum has it, so can't even put emergency on! Outside: 3.3c Inside: 11.6c

    That there would be the reason! Thanks, I see that the lower uppers were down south in time with this GFSP chart, so it's understandable why the lowest minima was over the south, but couldn't get my head around how the min overnight temps were predicted to be lower than the 850s Eagerly awaiting the next run

    3.6c here currently Hit 4.3c about an hour ago now, thought we were going lower, but nope, Shame! Looking forward to some milder temperatures though to be honest, will heat the house up a bit! Not had the heating on much lately due to cost, house has been dropping to 11-14c, so I top it back up to 17c, turn the heating off. lol!

    Hit 8.1c here today at 1pm, can't find todays top temp, seeing as at midnight last night it was almost balmy! 9.1c at half past midnight, scuppered my top temp readings for today lol

    Looks like our secondary low just dropped 3mb during the last hour! How accurate are the surface pressure charts anyway, where do the pressure readings come from, buoys/ships ?

    Not sure If I've got this totally right, but if you flick through the GFS you'll see where where our secondary low comes from out in the Atlantic Anyway, If this is right, the wave is slightly further north and 3mb deeper than the GFS had forecast for this time I've backtracked the GFS and surface charts, and this wave does seem to be our low for Friday Correct me if I'm wrong anyone Still learning here! Forgot to mention both images are from 1800 hours

    48hr forecast showing 55mph gusts for Darlington according to NW, isn't the 48hr the standard GFS?

    Whoops my bad! I always think of knots as kmph for some reason! The translation in french is knots, but we know that's not right! lol Expect 50-60mph average gusts, maybe 70 on the coast That is if the current charts continue this track The forecast for my near me, Southend Friday 3am wind Gusts Met Office 51mph ​MetCheck 56mph XCWeather 59mph

    Ditto! I was getting a little excited over them prospects, so had a look myself, unfortunately when the wind and rain is with us during Friday it looks too mild for anything wintery, by the time the temps drop the precip has cleared, heres hoping for some changes!
