    Crisp winters day now snow hasn't melted at all last night topped up another few cms. Tonight temps are going to drop big time so alot of ice will be about.

    Skiing to work in the morning lol. Glad all the region did well and thank God it's snowing for Matt in Stoke. Can confirm snowing heavy again here, it's getting ridiculous now I can't remember a day like it and Met now upgraded to snow through the night. Storm Ana working magic on our slider lol.

    Yh around 10pm look at the band heading straight for us met says 4 hours of heavy snow. Madness

    Whiteout here by far the heaviest fall yet. Radar now has an area of very heavy snow for West Mids. We might need a tractor soon.

    Yh moderate snow here to again. And the only way I can see it happening is the pivot or that lot near Wales.

    Stopped here now but my uncle works on the buses in Birmingham area and they have been warned that heavy spell is on the way can't see it myself though.

    Getting heavy again here now and Met have me down for heavy snow later. Already add to the 11cm also we had already. The pivot will bring snow back over the same areas who got heavy snow this morning it looks like.

    Well daughters school is already closed tomorrow. Snow coming down thick and fast this could be memorable.

    Been out there very heavy snow and the drifting is bad amazed the Met didn't warn people about this. Wind about 30mph.

    Think Met may have seriously underdone the totals already up to 7cm and were not even in the main band yet. West Mids, central and South Mids are looking up to 30cm if this carries on like this.

    Massive flakes here looking at the radar the heavy stuff is right over me and we have a good few inches now. Birmingham, Coventry and Oxford seem to have the heavy stuff at present but it will pivot and go further North. Prediction Midlands will be cut off from the rest of the UK by around 5 tonight.

    Birmingham airport is toast. Motorways are like ski slopes. outside looks like a Christmas card. All we need now is Aled Jones singing the Snowman outside. Winter best since 2010 already lots more to come. Morning all and enjoy your time in the Snow.

    About 5cm so far and were not even in the real heavy stuff yet. M5 completely blanketed. Stay in and watch the Snow or go to Lickey hills with kids hmmm. Met has snow here until midnight that can't be right surely.

    I am surprised no one is talking about how windy it is the Snow is side on. There's going to be some nasty driving conditions about. Anyone up who lives near Sutton Coldfield I have to drive there later just wondering what it's like in that neck of the woods.

    Don't worry dude anything falling North of Bristol and all the way to the east say Oxford will be snow. Well throughout the day then light snow through the early hours.

    Gritters out in force on Wolverhampton Road but they can't keep up with the Snow that is lashing Down here also very windy so Blizzards out there.

    Ppn is bang on track maybe a touch North and faster moving but other than that the Met nailed it's track, good for all the Midlands. Happy Snow day guys.

    Heavy snow here. Sticking instantly if there is 18 hours of this like the Met say the Midlands will be cut off lol.
