Can someone blow these storms NNW please. Way too much of a westerly direction for my liking

I think it’ll be a case of looking at the rain radar as we get closer to the event tonight.
-
Am I right that it’s the showers which will form NE of the main band of rain which is of interest?
-
So settled weather being shown on day 10 models are now being replaced by much cooler and unsettled weather? Shock(!)

Purely from an IMBY perspective, I hope it tracks further north and east, taking it through Central England.

Surprised people are raving over today, yesterday was far better with sun most of the day.
It depends where you live. Over here, we’ve still got blue skies, with not a single cloud in the sky. For central areas and the spine of the country, it’s been a very good day thus far.

It seems only the South Coast and South East have had decent conditions today. Everywhere else has been a cloud fest.

B87 looks like we’ll get some decent sunshine and 17c/18c tomorrow.
Sunny intervals for us tomorrow, with a maximum of 15 degrees forecast.

Alderc 2.0 Hasn’t this happened quite a few times, where the GFS is the first to show less settled weather, with the other models following? I guess we just have to keep an eye on the next few runs.

A decent start to the day. Sunny intervals and a gentle breeze. It actually feels quite warm in the sun. Looks like it’s slowly starting to cloud over, however.
-
Why is it that is starts off nice and sunny, for it then cloud over and go completely overcast by midday? It then goes sunny again in the evening, just as the sun starts to set.

No early morning posts on the MAD thread. Does that indicate that the outlook really looking that poor?

*Stormforce~beka* It does seem particularly dark in your house/that room. Probably not helped by the fact that the curtains aren’t fully open. Maybe that’s why you feel cold all the time?
Once you’re outside, it isn’t actually that bad. In the sun, it actually feels quite warm.

Look at all that rain heading from the NW to the SE. I thought we were supposed to be high pressure dominated this week, so where is all this rain coming from?
Let me guess, yet more last minute downgrades?

LetItSnow! I believe the same thing happened last year(?) for those of us in the East Midlands and East side of the country. I remember we were plagued with low cloud and mist, with suppressed temperatures, whilst the South West had lengthy sunny spells and respectable temperatures.

Brr, it isn’t half cold out there right now!

Lovely sunny spells and pockets of blue skies here today. Pleasantly calm too. All change tomorrow, with it feeling much cooler with blustery showers expected.

The radar looks very uninspiring at the moment.
