Although on the radar you can’t see the whole system as yet it’s still developing in the North Sea.?

That’s why some people are miss interpreting it to miss us completely... You won’t start seeing it properly until the early hours and as it comes over land..

  2. Well interprit that latest weather forcast as you will but. It’s exactly what has been predicted snow showers really pepping up after the low moves to the SW then Wednesday looks like it’s going to pack in the showers some prolonged almost anywhere and maybe Thursday also. If we have a quieter day on Thursday that could spell the low is moving up and could reach us again as they’ve said on the forcast still a little unclear of the track... pleanty of snow pics please tomorrow and Wednesday guys.:yahoo:

Yeah it does seem that most of us snow lovers like to play down our chances when it comes to a good snow event.

I think people just worry unnecessarily alot of the time and FOMO gets to then but I am personally quite confident that much of our region will fare quite well from tomorrow morning and the rest of the week.

I suppose to me although I love cold and snow as much as the next nutter on these forums I do realise there are more important things in life and so I won' get too down if it all goes t*ts up.

That's why I like to be light hearted on here as it is an escape from the more serious stuff in life!  :)

    Well said dude completely agree..?

Oh poor sausage. Shall we elope to Lapland?

Even when it back tracks and gives him more potential he’s still not happy..

this is the weather we are talking about the saying “ No one can predict the weather “ Strings to mind.. which is absolutely correct they can only go on the information given provided at the time things can change on minute to minute hour to hour basis. Hence why these are forcast.

On another more positive note the system is really building up in the North Sea some guys will be loving it in the morning.. :D

Look at them pretty colours mixed in that some surprises tomorrow

Definitely the system moves through and is replaced by heavy showers. The 5 - 10cm participation is just for the system alone some could see further accumulations as Showers become heavier Into Tuesday night and into Wednesday.  :D

Am starting to believe them stories about governments seeding the clouds to warn away severe weather because this is not what was forecast. Snow everyday Tuesday onwards yet the forecast show zilch for this area.

Cold weather is not interesting by itself, these so called ice days won't materialise without snow cover.

The forcast said snow showers Tuesday onwards. With the possibility of some merging into longer spells of snow. And it’s exactly what is still forcasted buddy.. ?

Why the disappointment, today's been as forecast hasn't it?

The Polar Continental airmass has announced its arrival with leaden skies, snow flurries and windchill taking it below 0C most of the day

The real action starts tomorrow, as has been forecast for several days

    Well said my friend...:drinks:

been trying to say it all day. :wallbash:

quite strange really as the warning for my area has upgraded to amber but yet i have lost a few heavy snow symbols.

But on the other hand had more showers today than was forecast, so they aren't always right.

Cant wait to see what its like tomorrow morning haha

Wouldn’t worry to much what the apps show you. These will change throughout the day. :)

  9. Everyone needs to Remember yesterday the forecasts was for showers to start coming into eastern coasts spreading a few inland later in the day.

The warning is there for the lucky/unlucky folk which ever way you look at it that end up with the Most persistent showers (They’ve never said everyone)  I was shocked to find this morning showers spreading so far west which some are currently experiencing and could end up with a couple of inch by the end of the night while some of us will get just a dusting or nothing lying at all. This has always been the forcast. Even tomorrow’s forcast it not an all snow event some will miss out or not get what they want if it’s extreme depths you are looking for some will do well again that’s always been the forcast it’s not indefinite for everyone same applies for Wednesday on Thursday. The forcast has been and I quote “ Different Areas will receive snowfall on different days “ as the wind changes direction slightly.

For all the guys in here that are expecting an all snow event with several hours of persistent snow then you want to be watching the Fridays run to materialise for our area not the forecasts for Monday - Thursday as so far have always been showers with the potential of some mergin to create longer spell for some not ALL but on the strengthening winds could become heavier and more widespread...  :wallbash:

  10. I confident that come tomorrow evening the majority of our region will have 4” at least, The unlucky ones might end up with a couple of inch the really lucky ones may end up with 6-8”.

Then further build ups during the course of Wednesday & Thursday. If the majority of that remains till Friday and that low comes off.. Could get exciting I’ll say no more..

  11. @sausage Morning bro I don’t want to sit here and say I told you so etc. But from a fellow West Yorkshire man to another you should never under estimate the Beast which is the East. I’ve woke up this morning to a light covering with snow falling. Ok it’s not the 10” we are looking for “Yet” but I didn’t expect to be waking up to anything today a few isolated showers was forecast inland and it seems now we have a good period of very light snow with more incoming throughout the day.

Bearing in mind this is meant to be the calmest day of the forseable for us over West it just proves what the east can deliver. Truly exciting times if you like Cold and lots of snow for the coming Week/Weeks to come. But just remember to keep an eye on the vulnerable.. :friends:

How far north are we expecting the low to go?

I'm not convinced about its northerly track.....

Just note the track is very unclear at this time but if you go on the country files forecast the whole of England & Ireland and lots of Scotland would benefit from the low.. again still very unclear as to how far north.
