  1. Certainly not new, been using this website since 2008. Ok - there is supposed to be a SSW, still hasn't happened yet and if it does, has no guarantee of any cold weather effecting our tiny island. So until it shows in the models it is all just FI. I think that's a fair point of view....but my point of view may differ to you. That's what a forum is about.
  2. ? Strange comment. No falling out as far as i see it. This is certainly not the model thread....they are chasing fantasy SSW 3 weeks away!
  3. Certainly is, at 2m in constant shade. I have noticed over the years your temp readings 'around' 2 degrees colder than my weather station and my fathers vantage vue in another part of the village. Hey ho, none of temperatures are conducive to snow!
  4. Well the airport is at 3, so going by its height in relation to our location 5-6 degrees in probably about correct. Anyway all temperatures showing as karlos have posted are not that cold really if we are in a cold snap.
  5. Temp 4.1 and rising. Will be interesting to see what it reaches. Could someone please show me where I can find just the UK upper air temp maps please. Most appreciated. Just a small window for very light snow tomorrow now it seems.
  6. Quick Trop Response? Is it on that chart or are you just guessing? PV looks pretty organised to me. I mean, I didn't any charts would be showing the effects of a SSW for a number of days yet.
  7. My post was nothing to do with this week..it was in relation to the post about IF and the time frame for the effects of any SSW. Thanks. Crewe - spot on.
  8. Yeah..definately down plays cold as is always spot on. Well except last week when he commented about this week being pretty cold and snowy. Ian gets his info from his contacts and wouldnt post anything without good evidence. But remember he is qualified in sharks and not metreology!
  9. Those charts dont show it fragmented. Still looks strong over over canada and greenland. Not sure the charts posted bear any relation to the effects of a SSW.
  10. Why do you say that? In relation to what? A SSW? Trends of what exactly? Please can you clarify. Im looking for a massive greenie high please not a scandi personally. Do you get Greenie highs from a SSW?
  11. Oh right..sure i was slated earlier for suggesting the upper air temps wernt that good this week..
  12. Id take all the SSW buff in the model thread with a massive pinch of salt. There is no guarentee that it will have any effect on the tiny tiny piece of land the UK. Lots of ego fuelling posting pretty charts that bear no relation to our shores, just a world wide outlook.
  13. I did post in the MOD thread earlier, but think I will not bother anymore. Rude, arrogant, condescending replies, even from a moderator. Horrible place to even try and contribute.
  14. ? Its not about being pessimistic...i just commented mainly of what upper air temps were for the particular points in time, 96, 108, 144. I'm sure I have them correct as per my post. I will keep quiet now and take a back seat.
  15. I was just commenting on what the GFS 00 was showing...the operational run (if that's what you call it). That's all.
  16. Please can you correct me regarding the upper air temps at the times I posted - in regard to the GFS 00z today. and just to add not everyone can fork out for netweather extra.
