  1. Has anyone seen any hail yet? Just hoping that I don't get hail when the showers do arrive.
  2. Ground temperatures already below 0c! http://www.trafficweather.info/roadWeather/rwisMap.jsp
  3. The only positive I can see is that the showers appear to be slow moving and the clear skies are allowing temperatures to drop. That might mean a better situation to Tuesday, provided we get showers.
  4. Showers are restricted to South Donegal for some reason.
  5. Been hovering between 1.5c and 2.0c for the last hour. At least the wind is calm unlike Tuesday.
  6. Down to 1.9c from 3.0c at 3pm. Don't know if it will go lower.
  7. While, we're waiting. If anyone wants to calculate snow chance, I use this site: http://www.sciencebits.com/SnowProbCalc?calc=yes It is incredibly accurate, and pretty much always turns to snow once the percentage hits 70%. At the moment for me it is 10%.
  8. Go from 12am back to 3pm, looks like it cools quite a bit. http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/cgi-bin/expertcharts?LANG=en&MENU=0000000000&CONT=ukuk&MODELL=euro4&MODELLTYP=1&BASE=-&VAR=th85&HH=18&ZOOM=0&ARCHIV=0&RES=0&WMO=&PERIOD=
  9. Well, the EURO4 suggests colder air coming in from 6pm, so I would wait and see, especially after last night's debacle. Temperatures have fallen to 2c here, so in my mind it wouldn't take much.
  10. They're probably talking about me. Temperatures are hovering between 2-3c, at low levels, dews are 1c. https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=ILDYBOOM2&cm_ven=localwx_pwsdash
  11. There is a house at 300 metres near me, but I would think the highest house is roughly around 400 metres. There isn't a lot of vegetation above 400 metres so people wouldn't live up there.
  12. Aye, definitely agree about the hail. We got a covering on Tuesday but near the end of the night it was pure hail.
  13. I think it's the lough. Tbh, I don't usually do too bad outside of marginal situations. If we get a northernly wind like you said it was usually fine.
  14. Aye, all those places are at elevation, lol. Anyway, it's looking more able tonight, so i'll see what happens.
  15. I don't know.. I don't think there is much snow in the "East".
  16. Did it though? From what I can see most of the posters in County Down etc are at high elevation. There is no snow in Belfast or Bangor is there?
  17. Well after having looked at the EURO4, it does look like conditions become conductive for snow this evening and through tonight and tomorrow. Some low level snow is possible. And by low level I mean sea level, not 100metres.
