  1. To me the GFS seems to be taking the same path as the EURO4. I don't think the mild air reaches us in the north, it appears to run from Omagh to Ballymena.
  2. Quite decent according to the EURO4. Although the EURO4 makes it a north NI event only, unfortunately. http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/cgi-bin/expertcharts?LANG=en&MENU=0000000000&CONT=ukuk&MODELL=euro4&MODELLTYP=1&BASE=-&VAR=t925&HH=24&ARCHIV=0&ZOOM=0&PERIOD=&WMO=
  3. Are you sure? It's a 9 hour event with no wind, so it should allow eavporative cooling to sea level. Temperatures will be 2c before the low hits, which is already cold enough in my book.
  4. Fingers crossed! If we can get 10cm+ out of this low, i'll stay happy!
  5. Yeah, we go hit too! It came out of nowhere, wasn't forecast 6 hours before! Pretty weak one mind, snow above 150 metres.
  6. Looks like the mild sector affected North West England too. Temperature of 2c here.
  7. Say, we do get snow tomorrow night...is it likely to melt, as in this evenings, or will it freeze over? Just wondering if we will have a warm up.
  8. Hopefully everyone gets a dose, but I do believe we deserve it after this failure tonight.
  9. No, the mild sector won't be gone until the MORNING! lol!
  10. Ok, well i'm off now. That's the mild sector through now, a night of possible snow destroyed. Not pleased, but what can I do?
  11. I think we deserve it given the snow that you's are going to get out of this tonight. Don't you think?
  12. The warm sector is even larger on the 18Z EURO4. http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/cgi-bin/expertcharts?LANG=en&MENU=0000000000&CONT=ukuk&MODELL=euro4&MODELLTYP=1&BASE=201801161800&VAR=th85&HH=6&ARCHIV=0&ZOOM=0&PERIOD=&WMO= On the plus side, the low is further north.
  13. Yep, the temperature is steady at 1.1c lol. Bloody gale force winds.
  14. Yes, so basically another hill event. Par for the course lately.
  15. I think the wind is a big problem in this. It's just been raining over me at 1c for 20 minutes, if the wind were to stop, the temperature could drop. But really disappointed, I thought we were sure to get a decent covering from this, not another hill event.
  16. If the temperature would drop just 1 degree, we'd be in business.
  17. It always seems to be so close for snow here, nearly always above 200 metres.
  18. Met Office needs to rethink for releasing an Amber warning in that.
  19. Wait and see Gary, the temp has fallen to 1c here, so maybe it will turn back to snow.
  20. Exactly, this is a warm sector. We had snow on the ground, it's all melted now, unfortunately. I'll stay up an hour and see what happens.
  21. Nope, it's transitioning between rain/sleet and snow. As I said earlier this is the warm sector, as temps have risen from 0c to 2c.
