  1. Near letterkenny. Winds picked up a lot during the shower, plus side will push them further east. Downside they don't last as long for me ha
  2. Heavy snow again now. Quite an organised band pushing through.
  3. Should be a warning tomorrow if not I'll start to worry a bit lol
  4. Oh Jesus get over yourself. What a baby. Trying to derail thread again. Take it pm or call 111 I'm a victim for support. Anyway some of us have gotten over it and haven't made a list of what was said. For the sake of the thread I'll ignore further childish attempts from now on. And the only snowflakes I'll discuss are those falling from the sky. Rain has turned to sleet.
  5. Jesus have a little faith lol. The warning expires at midday tomorrow, met eireann mention widespread showers tonight and becoming more isolated tomorrow. That was always expected. Tonight Widespread showers will be wintry with some snow accumulations, frost icy stretches and a risk of thunder. Tomorrow A frosty start to Friday morning. Otherwise tomorrow will be bright and cold with wintry showers becoming more isolated and many places having long dry periods.
  6. Plus the air pressure will be roughly 20 to 25mb lower than it was during Tuesday.
  7. No you're reading it wrong. The first bar on the left means low impact and whether it's likely or highly likely there will be low impacts. Anything which progresses to the second/middle bar means medium impacts which is an upgrade from the previous bar of low impacts, the middle bar exceeds and goes beyond the criteria needed for very likely in low impacts. It's 1 point off Amber. I sent an email to the Met office when the warnings came out asking them to explain it.
  8. Interestingly the snow warning for tonight has been increased in terms of possible impacts. It moved up 3 places on the scale from the initial warning. Just one place off Amber. It was initially 4. The previous snow warning earlier in the week met the bare minimum criteria to issue a yellow warning.
  9. @Quicksilver1989 No worries. Fair enough we'll agree to disagree on that small point. And yes Sunday is not without interest.
  10. https://mobile.twitter.com/newsline weather Rain moves in from the west tonight with some sleet/snow especially on hills. Icy conditions with snow showers will follow. A Met office warning has been issued from 10pm tongiht. Cee
  11. I think met office will release warning around 10 or 11 today and probably change the text of the warning for tonight.
  12. Latest GFS upgraded longevity of cold. From 9pm Saturday night, the temperature is at or below 2c until 3pm Wednesday when it reaches a high of 3c for my location.
  13. Latest euro 4 coming last couple frames missing but it looks good for tomorrow night. Think it's an upgrade. And here's the accumulations for 9am Friday morning. Wouldn't take it too literal if not under accumulations in the North.
  14. Some drizzle earlier, dry now. No thaw so far. Saturday night The rain will only gradually clear overnight with much colder air feeding in behind with the risk of a spell of sleet or snow across Ulster.
  15. Second part of it was yes, the one in mid to late December but I couldn't tell you if there was an SSW that year ha.
  16. Why didn't he pm me to begin with then. And since when did you become a moderator. Good luck. Heaven forbid you say a forecast was wrong. Didn't think it would lead to such delicate reactions.
  17. Does an SSW ever lead to a Northerly flow for example Greenland high or is it always an Easterly if we manage to get lucky from it?
