  1. I'm sure if was a chart at 132 showing wintry ness for the South it wouldn't be treated with such disdain lol
  2. Met Éireann have criteria for their warnings. Once gusts of 120kph/75mph are predicted that meets the start of their Orange warning criteria. It doesn't matter which part of the county it hits. While the Met office would have a yellow warning for this in NW Scotland where if it were the hit London City they'd have orange or red for 75mph gusts.
  3. High pressure to the NW would also do. A Greenland high
  4. Wouldn't let me type below quote. Greenland high Boof?
  5. It's still snowing here. Stayed up for it haha. Happy Birthday Juuyoku
  6. Xcweather.co.uk which uses GFS shows 3.6cm of snow for me starting 4am until 9am. It's very light whether it reaches us or not
  7. Usually always the way with snow and wind storms I've noticed. Always hard for them to nail it down unless it's an exceptional event in coming
  8. I haven't checked models since early evening but seen an icon animation on twitter showing snow across the North for the morning
  9. Hill(293m) just outside Greencastle, Donegal. Seriously considering relocating to high ground lol. Over the years it'll be worth it. Get a big f off lamppost for the front garden too ha. Not my pics
  10. What's your altitude Sperrin? I'm wondering if there's any houses above 350m or 400m across the NW ha
  11. Any idea what the wind speeds with it would have been?
  12. Bara isn't a Meteorologist like Angie and Cecilia. He never studied it, just learned how to read the charts at BBC weather centre.
  13. This week shows when the Jet is south of us in winter we can do quite well without blocking to the North . A little bit of altitude helps a lot. Met Éireann FC says a band of rain pushing north tonight will turn to snow on its northern edge. Southern parts of Ulster at risk. Didn't see any mention of it on the BBC
  14. Bit like the Amber warning for all of NI at half 8 earlier in the week. Been a slow thaw here today, about an inch remains in the grass slushy mess on the paths.
  15. Pure white outside now. Showers pepping up now big batch to hit the west coast around 6ish. Back to bed
  16. And now it's proper snow. About as marginal as it gets
