  1. A good 3 inches here in Nairn - this is the A96 looking a bit treacherous
  2. Agreed, but that chart does not show the UK as being 'in the freezer', which is the point I made.
  3. Hardly in the freezer for the UK and, meantime, the proper cold heads down towards Greece again . . .
  4. Had a light rain shower here in Nairn about an hour ago - looked promising for snow as the clouds rolled in across the Moray Firth from the Black Isle, but no. Bloody rain.
  5. something for every coldie . . . plenty of snow opportunities and some places will be buried if the run plays out like that

  9. Whilst each has their own merits, i can't help but feel that the evolution of the GFS 18z is more realistic that the EC 12z
  10. and a new low forming D6-7 in the Norwegian Sea which will have our name on it
  11. Let's see where the GFS 18z goes - my hunch it will remain broadly in line with the 12z
  12. I'm not saying it's wrong, but the ECM evolution after t96 just doesn't seem plausible to me
  13. A new trend ? To me, it just looks wrong - could be an outlier and will be interesting to see where it sits in the pack . . .

  15. Those temperatures will be city temperatures. You can easily knock 2-3c off for rural locations and even more for towns with modest altitude.
