  1. Wishful thinking ? No, analyze and challenge. I will stand by my earlier post.
  2. I expect the ECM will be brought back into line over the next couple of runs.
  3. seems to be heading more SSW and missing Southend to the east. I think Sittingbourne/Whitstable would be in the sweetspot, although the path over the Thames would suggest rain/sleet.
  4. Appears to be heading south west - MetO just upgraded Southend forecast to heavy snow for midnight - i would expect this to possibly head into NW Kent
  5. It seems that the line off showers heading south west off of the Suffolk coast are intensifying
  6. looks like a streamer setting up off the north Norfolk coast into Norwich Would be great to get a Thames Streamer set up
  7. Have to laugh at Southend being in the moderate snow zone - nothing here but rain. Thoroughly miserable.
  8. I think. after today. it's time for a new hobby away from model watching.
  9. My retirement to the Cairngorms cannot come quickly enough . . . this winter, for my location, has been as bad as it can get. Truly shocking.
  10. I can see SE Essex missing out altogether - certainly looks as if the heavy stuff is already pivoting meaning it's likely to miss us in the far east of Essex
  11. Stunning sunrise here in Leigh-on-Sea - full of wintry potential
  12. Assuming the local roads will be closed under the immense strain of snowfall, i will probably hurtle my kids down Nobles Green Road
  13. Too many false dawns this year, losing the interest already. COP would be great, often over there with the dog. Anyway, fingers crossed but i'm not hopeful.
  14. Eastwood, Essex 135ft asl 8.00 - 8.02am - snow grains - about 3 per square meter per minute 8.02 - 11.19am - rain - lashings of
  15. Make no mistake - t'will be rain falling upon the tarmac of Rayleigh Road
  16. I think that even us Essex folk might see the odd flake from that chart onwards
  17. For sure, the downstream repercussions would not be factored in by current modelling and i wouldn't expect that to be the case for a number of days
  18. Anything falling from the sky will be guaranteed to be white - or if you're in the south east, ice pellets
  19. If this comes to fruition then we are truly in for an extended spell of severe weather
