  1. Yes, one to keep an eye on in case, in case... the predicted nippy northerly undercuts the low over the SE as it moves eastwards.
  2. The Aldershot v Hatlepool game is off tomo. Tues night instead. Um, in case you're interested.
  3. Big flakes belting down between worthing and horsham. Hoping the front will stall
  4. Just need the front to get a kink in it, turn into a low at the kink and hang around in the channel before edging east. wishful thinking, but.
  5. A brisk northerly kicking in in about 9 days, behind a slow-moving low east over southern UK, is the synoptics forecast. Could prove interesting if the cold air undercuts the low.
  6. Snow falling quite heavily between worthing and horsham, and with the temp sub zero it's settling.
  7. Surprise heavy blob, soon to be in mid channel, heading for somewhere in the SE.
  8. For those with spare time, and if you're cold and snow obsessed ... daily reports of the 1962-63 winter, with a link to the synoptics. http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/mtullett/1962-63/index.htm
  9. btw - if you have any questions about what it was like in '62-63, for 3 months non stop, fire away...
  10. Fascinating but potentially deadly combo of freezing rain and snow coming down between worthing and horsham.
  11. Gnerally speaking, the heavier the precipitation, the more likely it will fall as snow.
  12. With a band also developing over and off the coast of NE France, east sussex, kent etc might get some snow from that band alone. Maybe all the bands will develop into one.
  13. Looking better for mid-west sussex if it starts to move nW or NNW. Or will expand eastwards...??
  14. A much bigger band over northern France and its part of the channel is developing nicely.
  15. A band in the channel near the coast is building but will it give us much snow? One or 2 bands hardly did y'day. It is NOT the main band that is expected later this afternoon.
  16. Ongoing alerts and updates at https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/live/2018/mar/02/uk-weather-snow-disruption-storm-emma-beast-from-the-east-live
