  1. Moderate- Heavy Snow again big flakes. 1-3cm approx on the ground let’s see what the morning brings
  2. Not bad for S Cheshire sat here in Sandbach radar watching patiently waiting it's arrival
  3. Will be interesting to see how the next few hrs develop - MO for as much as its worth has just updated with heavy snow from midnight to 4am.
  4. West has been unusually best so far tonight - areas that don’t normally see much or have the issue of marginality seeing a covering. Hopefully you catch something before the night is out in Buxton
  5. Back into a gap between showers again & as others have mentioned some beefier looking precipitation to keep an eye on for the south of the region. Have a good covering here in Sandbach now & maybe a top up or two to come too. The snow dome of Crewe seems to be broken too by the looks of the railcam - nothing spectacular but so nice to see some snow
  6. Great news - no Jan 2010 but think we’ll have a good night snow wise in S Cheshire tonight
  7. A sign of more heavy showers out to the W/NW of me moving through the Cheshire Gap now hopefully it won’t lose intensity
  8. Crewe snow shield in full force it seems hopefully we’ll all catch something 10pm- early hours
  9. Moderate snow now giving a nice icing sugar dusting all surfaces covered
  10. How’s the snow shower? Giving a covering? Looks like it’s just about to pass through here
  11. Yeah latest MO update for S Cheshire looks best for shower potential between 10pm & the early hours. We shall see if things get going but won’t be staying up just yet
  12. A wintry feeling day today freezing fog to start but some pleasant winter sunshine. On the edge of the current Congleton/ Macclesfield shower here in Sandbach currently so some light snow falling. Had a heavier all be it more sleety flurry mid afternoon. Still hopeful for some heavier showers giving a dusting- a covering to S Cheshire overnight - main action not due till post 7pm into the early hours
  13. -1c & freezing fog to start. How are SE Cheshire’s chances - Sandbach, Crewe, Nantwich @Kasim Awan ? Will we be south of the main streamer? I’m thinking with the right set up we may see a 1-3cm covering overnight. Maybe more if heavy showers merge together?
  14. Have had a light flurry of snow in the lamp post light from the decaying Northwich shower. Met Office looking very promising for tomorrow flurries during the day then heavy snow showers from evening to early hours Wednesday here’s hoping
  15. Think we’ll get a slight covering even here in the snow desert of S Cheshire if showers are organised/ heavy enough tomorrow night
  16. The Cheshire Gap is one to watch over the next few days particularly late tomorrow & tomorrow night. Hopefully we see the Irish Sea kick into life and deliver some snow. Usually do quite well out of the setup in the right circumstances - S Cheshire needs more of a NW flow than N Cheshire, Merseyside & Gtr MCR
  17. Yeah remember that think it was mid- late Dec 2011 I was at Crewe Retail Park Xmas shopping at the time & it came down really quick but didn’t stick around long from memory. Hopefully S Cheshire catches something in the way of snow this week
  18. The 12z on face value looks a bit more interesting in terms of Cheshire Gap showers Mon- Wed but even if the gun fires on the Irish Sea shower train I think it’ll be a wintry mix of cold rain, sleet & wet snow flurries probably alternating between the 3 for lower ground. Turning less cold by Thursday & milder by the weekend as it stands currently.
  19. Lots of heavy showers rattling through the Cheshire Gap this morning adding to the rain totals ️ (shame it’s not snow ) Might see some falling wintryness & some sharp frosts over the next few days but settling stuff nah just not seeing it for my location at least at the moment - a cold spell but v diluted looking tbh.
  20. Sounds great - I was interested as the NW can sometimes get the short straw depending on the nature of the Beast from the East (Feb 09 although technically not a BFTE was a bit underwhelming for some in the NW compared to further SE for example) I was born in 1994 so first very vague snow memories start only around Feb 96 haha!
  21. Hopefully Hopefully early - mid Feb too so it has extra bite. How good a spell was Feb 91 for the NW as a lot of the historical pictures, memories etc... seem to paint it as a London & SE / East Anglia focused spell in terms of snow at least?
  22. A depressingly dark and dreary morning (how many of those have we seen since Xmas?! ️ ) rain easing around dawn here. Colder weather incoming later tomorrow with frosts Monday night onwards but sleet & snow chances seem to have been reduced reading between the lines of the MO forecasts - still a chance of seeing the falling white stuff for all next week but a covering is reliant on an organised band of showers & or a short notice feature such as the one that gave London & the SE a few cm back at the start of the Dec cold spell. One to watch also is the small chance of the colder weather hanging around longer than currently forecast with the cold easing perhaps into a faux cold scenario before eyes turn East into Feb. No guarantees though. Regardless of the weather have a good weekend all
