  1. Sorry about the forecast rush hour snow that never happened. Silly me should have read the disclaimer by the MetO....... The current band of ppn from the Cheshire Gap does look like giving us a period of wintry showers around 19:00 hrs +/- before turning back to rain later in the night.
  2. In a few hours time the upper temps will drop and there will be a period of snow during the morning rush hour and some more during early evening.
  3. Rain to begin with, but the upper temps will drop between -4c & -8c during the early hours, hence some snow during morning rush hour and during early evening
  4. Info from Joe B in the USA on Twitter.............Whats funny is GFS last Monday had northeast back to normal in 6-10 period that started Saturday, but no one seems to remember
  5. UKMO & GFS 12Z are both showing ppn around morning rush hour in the SE Furthermore, MetO have informed Croydon Council to expect snow tomorrow morning
  6. All yellow alert 2, but bang in the middle is green alert level 1.........don't think that is correct in my opinion.......should be alert level 2 for London as well
  7. Take a close look at the map and see what colour warning London has been given
  8. I agree JP. Best stick with ECM. GFS has backed down a few times lately and followed ECM. ECM, ECM, ECM
  9. Croydon Council have been informed by the MetO to expect strong to gale force winds with very heavy rainfall on Friday I'm still not sure about the severity of the winds, but definitely sure about the very heavy rainfall
  10. Croydon Council are awaiting confirmation regarding the sustained rainfall and strong to gale force winds this Friday
  11. Very interesting developments on Saturday from the GFS 12Z regarding snow. Be interesting how this plays out during the week
  12. 8c and a sunny day here. Last Sunday's 12 hours of non stop snow. Seems a long time ago now! Renewed Sudden polar Stratospheric Warming in my opinion will be picked up within a week by MetO - v cold to return in Feb
  13. An hour of snow during the early hours which had started to settle on cars to start with. Still got patches of snow/ice in places. Should all be gone by tomorrow! 3c here Anyone for a possible cold blast in February? JMA calls for the cold returning........http://www.weatherweb.net/wxwebtvsimonnew.php?ID=613
  14. Still snowing here It would have been better if it had started snowing a few hours ago. The signs are there for the next cold blast in February http://www.weatherwe...nnew.php?ID=613
