  1. Emergency meeting at Croydon Council regarding the 2 day non stop heavy snow starting this Friday afternoon. Loads of snow and the depths will exceed expectations
  2. Yes, it was hard to take, but Mother Nature changed the snowy feature very swiftly. Goodnight all. Going to have a snowy dream
  3. Carried from the end of the last thread........... Hi there everyone, Are you all sitting down? Reason why MetO are showing heavy snow over the SE on Friday/Saturday so early in the week is because they are confident this event WILL occur At present, ppn incoming from the North Sea on a variant E to NE wind flow will penetrate slightly inland The very cold air mass is very dominant right now which indicates it could be around longer

  5. I look at several radars. Only posted what the GFS 18Z is showing
  6. Matthew Hugo â€@MattHugo81 has tweeted the following.........Impossible to summarise on twitter but the EC ENS from the 12z run are distinctly cold and blocked. The Atlantic could struggle to 'get in'.
  7. ppn is headed towards SE direction which includes Bexhill. Let's see the ppn get closer.
  8. Just a bit tired, but not tired for snow Let's keep an eye on the ppn from Wales & Cheshire Gap. Both ppn are merging towards the SE
  9. Stopped snowing here. All eyes on the ppn from Wales and the Cheshire Gap
  10. I've seen this before when ppn started to advance towards the SE and TEITS said no way, but I just knew it would reach the SE and it did with snowfall. Don't be at all surprised the ppn carries on it's path and gives snow along the way as it heads to papa (SE)
  11. It looks like it. Once this band of ppn slowly moves East, we will have the ppn from the Cheshire Gap to contend with. More snow later on as well
  12. PPN from the Cheshire Gap is heading towards the SE. It will be very interesting in a few hours time. Still snowing here.
  13. Same here. Turned to heavy sleet now and the flakes are quite big
  14. In my opinion, the upper 850 temp will be -8 then -4 which will be adequate for snow South of the Thames. I do not see a warm sector under cutting the upper temps at this stage
  15. Snowing lightly in Croydon. The uppers will be OK for snow to fall when the ppn arrives in a few hours time. I disagree with the MetO regarding rain for the South of the Thames. I think the snow will extend further South than what is being forecast.
