  1. It's gone very dark and menacing here but no real cells about. I can't help but notice all that heavy rain over Northern Ireland. Pretty intense.
  2. Anyway back to today. A very nice cell passing to my West. Had rapid rising motion and a nice developing Shelf cloud. Possible rotation as well. I couldn't really tell though. Began thundering as it moved away.
  3. Ok my optimism for Tuesday/Wednesday is gone. Another bust sadly.
  4. Mind you I was looking at the pressure charts and not the CAPE charts until after. I don't know anymore because some essambles where going crazy because the upgrade. One was going down to below 25°c for the upper Air. Then the precip chart yesterday was completely Dark Blue, like the whole thing. Today pressure wasn't showing up correctly. So I dunno. Just gonna wait for the day to arrive.
  5. Not what I'm seeing. Although the continent looks more juicy then the other one.
  6. I fail to how there's no istability, it's still showing 1'500J-2,000J of CAPE for whole of the east side of England. The GFS has just had a massive upgrade which is messing with the outputs and other sites. Probably why we're seeing 2 different things.
  7. I don't know what you're looking at but it looks better in my opinion. It has the push of warmth and a thundery low forming over England and Wales.
  8. We in the east Midlands didn't get the may 27th storms but there was a storm that was over Aylesbury that could be seen on the south coast. That was a supercell.
  9. One day it'll happen. It'll be one of those once in a life time things like last year on 27th July.
  10. Better not be a Kent clipper. I can't just race down there even though I'd love to. Hopefully a east England clipper
  11. That might me what was in my picture because it was intensifying as it passed. It have a lowering but I couldn't tell if it was rotating.
  12. I saw that. It's looking very good on Wednesday day. Hopefully it gets upgraded as we get closer to the day.
  13. This is too my West right now. Looking dark. A possible distant rumble has been heard as well. Edit: it looks more impressive in person.
  14. Yup been watching since it first popped up. Hopefully my fourth storm of the year will be the big one. Edit: looks like they going for storms on the wednesday for my area if it was to come off. Gonna check CAPE charts.
  15. That's amazing. I think that's a Tornado and not a funnel. It does look like dust and stuff is being kicked up on the ground and like Supercell said, you faintly see the funnel cloud really close to the ground.
  16. Yup, River Idle (which runs behind my house) is rising pretty fast. My road has gone completely dead since the rain picked up. It's torrential now. Yet still no amber warning from met office. I'm very surprised about that.
  17. Met office not even issuing an amber for east Midlands either. Too busy giving South Scotland the amber warning.
