    Forgot to say that I had a dream last night about the thunderstorms that could happen tonight and that one happened at 5am when the sun was coming up with a strike every 20 seconds. Will be very surprised if I see something like this tonight.

    Yeah, and I hope the Met Office are right because if they are then more western areas could have the chance of seeing a decent light display.

    While most models are showing that the overnight storms are going to be in the south-east, the Met Office thinks that the thunderstorms will develop over the English Channel and move their way north-east.

    Quick question: Does anyone know why the Met Office has issued the warning as far north as Hull when the overnight storms are most likely going to happen in the south-east?

    Lightning detected 15 miles away and I think I heard the thunder although I can't be too sure.

    Another storm over NNE Birmingham.

    A storm has sparked off around 40 miles to my west, not visible at this moment unfortunately although it is getting really convective here. Some nice cloudscapes to my west which I think could be part of the storm too.

    Lightning activity now, happening north west of Swindon. Edit: The strike has somehow been removed, although it's literally bang on in the center of the heavy precipitation? Another edit: lightningmaps.org says there has been four more strikes in that area?
