    Yes we're the same era! Great winters we had around then...... yes - a significant event on 18th/19th - 6ft drifts in the garden! And unforecast!

    Agreed, it doesn't look good. I'm usually in Scotland in May, numerous warm sunny weeks, I have my doubts this year though. 2012 - we spent pretty well every Friday wringing out the cricket ground so we could play on Saturday (strangely we generally did play), a seriously wet summer.

    Thanks Roger. Interesting discussion on late entries. I imagine if the closing date for November had been a day or so later, quite a few predictions would be very different! A late entry would have had quite a big advantage. (Note to self - don't believe a HLB forecast until it's not many days before...)
