  1. Glenshee approach road braemar side. Temperatures at the ski centre was 1C around 1.30pm. Dull, wet with low cloud obscuring the surrounding peaks. The second picture is the road continuing to the spital of Glenshee - Perth side. No sign of the snow factory modules.
  2. A damp, calm and cloudy start. Light rain showers. Temp 3C.
  3. Taken from Snow-forecasts World snow overview. "Scotland's hills are white once again after more fresh snow has fallen over the past few days and nights. The centre's operators are keen to stress that whilst it's looking promising at this stage, it's still early days in terms of reaching reliable snow cover in order to be able to open. That said several areas have also been firing up their snowmaking systems after a prolonged period of cold, often sub-zero temperatures have persisted, unusually for this time of year.
  4. I'd definitely welcome a spell of Atlantic driven weather for variety sake if nothing else. What's happened to the Autumn storms we used to get....
  5. I suspect that -8.1C temperature recorded at Dalwhinnie won't be beaten anytime soon.
  6. We had snow November 2018 and winter 2018/19 was noted as mild.
  7. A damp, cloudy and calm start. Light rain Temp 3C.
  8. Traffic Scotland live road camera. Foudland - East - Huntly area.
  9. Aye, slightly different picture up at the Lecht itself, looks like they've caught a fair bit. Cairngorms looking a lot better since a couple of days ago. Picture from the lower slopes this morning.
  10. Corgarff/Strathdon snowgates leading up to the Lecht. Looks like they've got off lightly.
  11. Snow started around 2am this morning. A slight northerly wind bringing further snow showers. Temp 0C.
  12. Looks like the heaviest snowfall of the season so far. Sleet and snow is forecast for the next 5 hours before giving away to rain. This is now the 3rd snowfall of the season. 10 years since.....surely not.....
  13. Forecast is now showing rain, sleet and snow from 2am tomorrow.
  14. Definitely a much colder November so far for NE Scotland. The cold looks set to continue until at least Tuesday. Starting to think we could be heading into the freezer this winter.....
  15. 5pm and the temp has already fallen to -2C. Feels more like January.
  16. If a change is afoot, hopefully that doesn't equate to the wet mess parts of England are enduring. I'm really enjoying these bright cold and dry autumnal days. Temp 0c but looks more like summer.
  17. Met office yellow warning for ice NE and E Scotland Wednesday and Thursday. Yellow warnings for rain for parts of England Wednesday to Friday.
  18. After yesterday's miserable weather, a complete change today. A dry, clear and cold morning, with sunshine forecast until dusk. Temp currently -3C which has resulted in the car doors being frozen solid.
  19. A dry, calm and bright start to the day. Hard overnight frost, temp currently -3C
  20. Given the wintery conditions of late, I organised to have my winter alloys and tyres fitted early this year. Tyre guy arrived this afternoon and carried out the work in miserable conditions. Poor lad was soaked through.
