As much as it was nice to have some falling snow since moving to not so snowy Colchester!
Had some heavy persistent blowy snow as the low pivoted and the cold air which is now firmly in place.
I do wonder if we may still have some potential on the horizon! But would benefit more from an easterly! But to be honest, we wouldn't do to bad from a decent northerly/North easterly due to how close we are to the coast.
As much as I love warmth. I am still hoping for just a decent enough snowfall, we can decent covering! Quite an ask further we go into March!- 4

Just started to snow here in Essex! Seems that cold air is undercutting quickly and seems to be quite a bit of precipitation left!

I think because this is " snow watch" and its a picture of the snow. I guess 'look' and 'watch' are pretty similar in meaning
Quite simply because its a snow watch page with model discussion. They have clearly posted a picture of some snow.

My guess is They put out a warning for ‘up to 5cm.’ and some places will get 1cm can’t see it lasts for that long and there’s not much high ground in the area where it’s heaviest ie Lincolnshire & Norfolk. Good news it’s that whatever does accumulate could last 24hrs this time
Yeah true, where I am in East Anglia - I am around 50m asl.
Had frequent snow showers yesterday and some dusting but nothing major. -
What do we think are the chances of a warning for E/A for tomorrow - for the potential for snow as the cold undercuts the low whilst it pivots and exits?

Gem is also broadly the same for Friday with the cold surging south behind the front . It warms up again only for a repeat a few days later . Very interesting times . This looks a theme now backed by mogreps 6z
If we get any precipitation with that. Might be quite good and less marginal as we won't have the milder air complication

I think our proximity to the coast is scuppering us. I expect cold rain or a sleety mix at best.
I don't know to be honest. I am a bit further west than Colchester - But it has been on and off today with flurries, so you never know!

Had a decent dusting in Colchester - all very slushy, radar says sleet.. But defiantly snow falling on and off!
Will be interesting to see later! -
Based on current output, would you say south of the M4 is now looking more sleet/rain and more snow towards north of M4 and East Anglia & home counties?
-
So basing off the latest output, I should have snow falling at some point in the morning going into the evening - We will see!
Best of luck everyone who wants snow!- 7

GFS takes the Thurs system back north, the arpege and Arome should be rolling soon so we can see what they do
Heading back south on Friday
Pulling colder air with it, so maybe south could get some more wintriness
