  1. You can thank Newcastle-under-Lyme/Stoke for that storm, it seemed to develop from us
  2. Ooh it's getting close to you though, just to the north west of where you are, just need it to come little further south!
  3. Also forgot to mention I'm noticing the storm now heading away from me in Cheadle seems to be intensifying as it moves away as I'm still hearing a lot of thunder coming from it, infact weirdly some of it louder than when it was overhead! As though now it's getting CG lightning instead of just intracloud.
  4. That must be really frustrating as even Holmes Chapel next door gets action too. Does Congleton just taste bad for Thunderstorms or something?
  5. Wow, now with the heavy rain, the lightning is elevated as the strikes are overhead but muted due to the strikes being high up!
  6. Popping off around here, with constant rumbling of thunder going on!!!
  7. Peak District is making some of the magic it seems, a lot of storms that pass through or near to it got intensified, looking at Buxton/Chapel storm and the North Notts/Derby Storms.
  8. Had a little fun today so far, but Stoke North to Congleton is stuck in a gap whereas I can see Stoke South got a battering again, that moved and intensified around Cheadle, to the side of Churnet Valley. Looks like Alton Towers got hit hard with lots of lightning around there, also Macclesfield and Sandbach with North-East Cheshire getting fun too. Do feel bad for ya cos you've been wanting storms in Congleton for a while. Everywhere around you is getting them but they miss Congleton!
  9. B&Q at Meir Park got absolutely flooded, with customers having to evacuate with the water going above their feet, the flooding and rain was that intense!!
  10. This is nuts, I'm sitting RIGHT on the periphery of this storm, still basking in sunshine with the angle of the sun, while I look south and East the sky is black as night, and I hear consistent constant rumblings!!
  11. Nevermind, the cell developed more over Blythe Bridge and Caverswall area. Seems like Stoke-on-Trent is setting off some storms for the east of it!
  12. Did the cell over the Peak Disrtict just die off? That was short lived, but intense, with me seeing it only from a distance.
  13. Was watching this cell develop pretty much over my house where it moved eastwards, been hearing constant low rumblings of thunder the last 15 mins!
  14. Really happy for you guys down in Kent, looking spectacular from that webcam in Folkestone!
  15. Heard a rumble of thunder from a moderate hailstorm that's just passed through Alsager where I'm currently staying at my sister's house about 10 mins ago. Also, wow skies are really darkening again like it's evening time!
  16. You were just saving time doing your workout and having a shower too!!
  17. Yeah I noticed that simililarly with the rain doing a direction shift just before it calmed down. I also have a flooded drive right by the backdoor that I have to do a wide step over!
  18. Yeah I'm hearing those in Stoke again, although more distant sounding and less rattle
  19. Oh my we've already had multiple rounds here mate, it'll more like Round 4, can hear thunder again even though I'm crashing on the floor tonight on the cool tiles as I'm way too hot in bed
  20. Still watching this beaut as it veers away from Stoke into the other areas, still producing lightening, albeit not as constant with a few thunder rumbles still to be heard Will see what I can do with recording tomorrow.
  21. At least lightning maps is representing about 50% of the strikes I'm seeing. Which is good, but this storm tonight has been literally the BEST I've seen since the late 90s? og it's insane how much lightening is going off here still!!! And just as I type this another close positive CG!!! Need underwear change soon!!
