So it is! Hmm! I hope it continues...
All parts of the cells have developed when they reached land in the UK, could be a sign for more of that everywhere ^-^

Just a bit. I've just been out in the garden looking south. Normally, activity in the Channel is visible as high sky flashes. I am seeing nothing at all. Absolutely nowt.
The phrase "it's a bust" is rapidly forming in my mind.....
look on the radar near Brighton, development is occurring

Anyone else think the cell is moving east quicker than north right now

Lightning had a rest and is now back up and running!
Lot's of strikes near Eastborne.
The cell looks like it's not going to make landfall at this rate, another Kent clipper I think

To me I think we're more likely to see 'thundery rain' - moderate to heavy rain with a few rumbles of thunder.
During this lull, I'd like to ask; do you prefer to see lightning/lightning strikes or hear the boom of thunder?
Sleeping to the sound of rain and thunder is the best

Apart from all the potential I totally agree
please point out where the potential tonight is then
-
I think it's just best for to go to sleep, don't think Kent is going to get any action tonight not seeing any potential anyway ;-;
-
Looking on the radar looks like a cell is already rather close to me in ramsgate maybe I'll get an early storm

You could definitely have a chance of seeing some distant lightning shows - not too sure about anything overhead but it is possible.
Hmm I think as I'm right next to the ocean could get quite potent through the night

Could anyone tell me if I will get anything in Ramsgate in the south east
-
Look at the charts, anyone think I'll get some action in Ramsgate?
-
Anyone think far SE will get any action? , I'm currently in ramsgate

Could be the tops of some cells in the far distance. Depends on your cloud coverage. Might be car headlights heading over a ridge exacerbated by the fog. Could be an outdoor event - mist can make light travel a long way.
do we call this a bust?

Hey, if anyone lives around me, can you please look out to the east of your location for about 1 minute? There are frequent flashes of lights to the east. It's definitely not just me, I told my brother and father to look out there if they can see lights, in which they said they can. Very odd.
cant see anything here bud

I swear mother nature is deliberately doing this to us, it's like she is telling the storms "watch out you're entering England territory, Divert at once!"
LMAO so true

Actually, that storm in northern France looks like it's changing direction. So we'll see in a couple of hours if the Met Office is wrong.
I HOPE SO
