  1. Hi, greetings from across the sea. This has caught my eye too. Bodes well for the NW region too, if it comes off.
  2. 3.8°C as of 8am. Bright and dry, ice gone from birds water. Are some areas of the region in for some snow Monday into Tuesday? A dusting? What does everyone think?
  3. Some people like tea, some like coffee, whatever your weather preference is welcome to the NW forum.
  4. @Kasim Awan glad everything went well, rest up and recover well. Temp between 5°C and 6°C most of the day, felt mild without that biting wind, was overcast with the occasional spit in the air. BBC computer says no. Sleet for my back yard next week.
  5. Does anyone know who or what the source of this channel is? Windy.com charts are used,.........reliable? It lists towns cities uk wide which will be affected by snow. I think it's a bit of fun.
  6. I'm so excited, I just can't hide it, Super tasty charts. Cold is definite from Sunday onwards, just need the lows to come with plenty of moisture. Looks good.
  7. Ooooh the wind chill will take the enamel off yer teeth up there, 1,300 or so feet asl. Can see the tower from my back area. Stunning clear skies and smiley sunshine, can't wait to be fit enough again to enjoy a few walks. I've found some snow flakes, next Mon night.
  8. Morning. Clear skies, dry, but the Wind is really blowing in from off the hills, bathroom extractor fan playing its own version of Mull of Kintyre . 1°C but feels like minus 5 in the wind, no frost here either.
  9. Lovely, I'm having that, thanks matey bobs. used a tractor, can't find an emongy thing for a snowplough
  10. Chilly morning all. Can see pretty pink echoes ont' radar, Had Worse, Willin, Raul can you see any magic white floaty bits around your way? Overcast 0.8°C and dew point -0.4°C. Birds water and top of their table still frozen over.
  11. Stayed dry and overcast, a chilly 2°C currently. Charts bit too far out to get me all a tremble. Still made me smile though for Weds, 17th Jan.
  12. A cold one at Shap -5°C, screenshot just before 5am. Frosty here in Macc, although window ledge remains wet. -0.5°C at 4.30am.
  13. Ooooh so good to be back home and in my own bed! thank you all for your kind words, it really helped to keep my mood buoyant. Stunner of a day once the fog lifted, the sun a fantastic ball of fire as it set. Macc just about clinging on to 3°C currently. Shap -0.7°C. I would love to see a proper snow event unfurl. I hope the beginning of Dec 2023 isn't the only snow I'm going to see this season. Loving the old news clips of great events gone by, this thread has been a welcome distraction.
  14. Glad was able to witness a stunning sunny start first thing. All gone now, cloudy, dull, there looks to be a fog dropping.
  15. Good morning. What a beautiful start here, sky looks so fresh. -1 and patchy fog at Man Airport, 0°C Wythenshawe and clear. Slight frost on the ground. Nurse who travelled in from Sale said journey was clear, she had a frosty windscreen to scrape.
  16. Hospital groundsman was out just now, salting the path ways. Sunday is looking a bit chilly for some.
  17. Looks a bit showery out Liverpool way and other western parts. 6°C and blue sky and sunshine streaming into my room. My view.
  18. Phone app for Wythenshawe says 3°C and fog. Could be fog in places, clear outlook from window, can see aircraft tail lights. It's not raining.
  19. Ooh would love to be going home in thick snow on a black bin bag, not got a sledge. I don't think I'll be in that long, should be home in a day or two.
  20. Reporting from Wythenshawe hospital today, had 2nd operation for cancer they found Aug last year. Prognosis is good, despite treatment I'm fine and dandy and still positive. Got a lovely room with a view and 2 squirrels for company. Wot no rain? It's dry outside, overcast with odd pocket of blue sky. Should be feeling colder when I'm fit to go home. @Kasim Awan I hope your operation goes well with a speedy recovery. My regards.
